ZET boats are super popular over here in Norway. No nonsense, strong boats that are almost impossible to break. And on the bulkhead, you can order their boats without it and get a big foam block instead. Makes it lighter and more dry. Thanks for the video 👍

Interesting to see a new generation of ZET boats. Just imagine a Director with a bit more bow rocker and a hint of the Soul Waterman Super Skipper stern plane for skipping drops. Voila! BTW, Waka should immediately FEDEX you a $10,000 check for the seat adjustment design upgrade idea.

I took a bad beating and swim out of my Zet Raptor back in the day. It did a half-mile of steep G4/5 and there was no noticeable impact on the outfitting. Obviously that's only one example, but I'd say the outfitting is bombproof.

Hey Wade- Thanks for the walkthrough, I also can attest from many a beater without the seat pad coming out. I was paddling the lower Fuy in Chile and we found a Zet floating down. Someone had swum upstream a week and a half before and the boat had finally surfaced. All the outfitting was still good to go! I will have a Chili demo to the East coast mid-march, and the full container by late march early april! Would love to get your thoughts.

My favorite kayak of all time! Zet Cross! At first the size took some getting use to (it's big!), and 'breaking in' as far as learning to maneuver the boat. Paddling this boat has improved my ability to maneuver a whitewater kayak with just my core, leaning, etc. Kind of like riding a horse just with your weight shifting to direct the horse. It's amazing the size holes you can punch through! I'm on my second Zet Cross. If someone finds my lime green Zet Cross somewhere near the Little Wenatchee (WA, USA), let me know; I'll send the serial number.

Unfortunaly it is to big for me. Shrinking everything a little bit the width the length and the volume and i would be good for me. I dont like driving tanks.

Nit-picky question... but are you able to adjust your seat all the way forward and all the way back? My toro has this same outfitting and I can't scoot it all the way back. By the time it gets to the center position, it's already running into the stern pillar. Curious if other zets are having this problem...?

Thanks for the review. Let me help address your concerns about the foam seat coming out. As this outfitting is different from other makers I think you are misjudging it. The seat will NOT come out. I’ve had my Raptor for five years, never had this happen, never met any Zet owner who has had this happen , never heard any stories about this happening. I am in the UK and there are lots of Zet boats here. All that matters is that it is tough, comfortable, warm, adjustable, can not get water-logged so never needs drying out and the seat and bracing properly support the hull which is why you won’t likely see a Zet with a book-bump.

Have been paddling Zet boats for 4 years now, they are definitly great boats. Best plastic and great outfitting, affordable too (in europe at least). The Raptor is really popular in France. I've had the Cross for over a year now and the seat doesn't seem to come off even when getting beat down. Looking forward to hear what you think about the shape !

They are around the same price point as the other major manufacturers in the states, but very worth it if you can find one! Fast, strong, super fun boats.

Side by side it was surprising how similar my 9r2 and my friends Cross looked. ZET was a bit wider (maybe a little over an inch...cant recall) and had more deck volume in bow/stern, otherwise Rocker looked pretty identical. Chines were similar-ish. I'm a smaller fella and I found the CROSS too big for my taste, but my friend is a bigger guy and he loves it. Careful, Wade, from what I've seen, paddling a ZET is like getting indoctrinated into a cult.
