In my opinion right now the way you do it is perfect, you could try giving the players some small vehicles but give the CSAT some bigger weapons and start inflicting fear on the players with rockets, tanks, ect ect. Rules, it's fine but make sure you start trying to get like a small group to work together so everyone's not doing whatever

+Luetin09 I love your stuff, and the work you do is great! The only changes I would make is restrict long range optics, to keep the players from picking the AI off from unfair ranges, and maybe, in defence missions like this have more of a pre-planned battleplan so you have a formula to work from, so you dont have to improvise. Like your pre-designated artillery markers, you could have pre-designated LZs, RPs, staging areas and lanes of attack. I think it would make your job easier, and the assaults more organized and more successful. I wont ramble on too long, but an example could be planned waves: 2x marid and 3xinfsquad along lane1, 2x unarmed heli along lane2, 1xtanksection along lane3. I think planning is key, good luck!

I like how you've started artillery ranging. You might even have the marker close in with each shot: Shot 1 is left and short, Shot 2 is right and over, Shot 3 is effective. Then the players could figure out they were being ranged. I also like the use of the scripted A10 strike because it's pretty. The cluster munitions are pretty too, so use them on AI tanks or empty towns on the player side within the Line Of Sight of the players. I would throw in odd civilians, sometimes fleeing past the players, away from the warzone. I like when the players have limited mortar or artillery use, too. I also think you need a pre-made minefield that you can slap down in a field where players are, so they can suddenly realize they are in one. Minelets could also have been scattered by artillery, Hind or cargo helo or air strike. Need roadside IEDs that can go off near, not under, player vehicles, either by trigger or your activation. More humdrum objectives like attack food supply to deny enemy troops or CSAR, or repair/gather disabled armored vehicles.

I think the reason a lot of players avoided the main objective; was because most of them thought the secondary Defensive objectives; would form somewhat a shield surrounding the science dome. (That and I think players would be bored staying in one spot for 60 minutes!) As it turns out the "shield" had a lot of gaps in the line, thus leading to the outcome of the mission being a failure. Well done, Luetin! Textbook assault!

+Luetin09 I have an idea for these defense missions. Why don't you let them get to where they are defending. Then lay on the fog. The fog in arma can be REALLY thick (atleast in the eden editor) and night vis optics cannot penetrate it. It can be really scary at points and would give them a really good night. I think you should try it. The fog can get so thick you can't see 15 meters in front of you. Just an idea I had. I hope you read this and thank you for your time.

Was kind of surprised to see so little AA, with such a target-rich environment. Good on putting the artillery in plain sight, to create tension about a mortar attack on the primary objective. However, I was surprised to see that you didn't put a couple or three scientists in the dome and make the mission hinge on them staying alive.

I understand the frustration of the LMG's. But. As i saa in this mission there were not actually many LMG gunners. And the one u saa in several of the situations were actually me doing my role as a LMG gunner. 1. I supress the enemy so my squad actually have a chanse to advance and do something against the threath. 2. I designate the tgts i supress with tracers with great risk to myself (artillery zeroing in) so my squad again can act against the threath. You do great missions. And rules night be good. But consider this: While i as a player have huge disatvantages as ex gunsway and fatigue, the enemy AI have no issues what so ever sniping me from 500+ meters without beeing affected by gunsway and fatigue. I really like ur vids. And so do many others. Do not worry too mutch about if we the viewers do not think there is enough content in ur vids. There are mutch more content than u think for us actually.

It is kind of a shame there is no fire bombing mechanic for situations where troops are in forests to cut them off, especially withe the close release of apex and its jungles. it would make create a weapon that could easily turn on you

I liked that old idea of having an army officer VIP in the base that when killed severely undercuts the defending forces' abilities! Might encourage more recon or even assassination strikes?

+Luetin09 I think it's a thing were the players have to learn that abit of finesse is worth more instead of brute power. Say you told them to attack a compound and at the same set an optional objective to take out a Convoy which has a VIP officer on route to the base. If the VIP reaches the vicinity of the base, the CSATs will gain heavy reinforcements (maybe helos or tank platoon or something) or lose artillAry Teach the players that taking out the VIP is efficient y'know? Maybe?

Haha you can REALLY tell which players are ghosting your steam. I loved that "Guys I see explosions in the main objective.." at around 26:00.. You might have heard it but there's no way he would instantly call that.

When you find range with your mortar, sometime make the mortar shoot off and after the range finder shot hits, adjust your arty marker and fire hell

Luetin you should make a mission where they have to attack a main base and if they aren't in the base in a set amount of time say like 20-25 mins then the big arty like the 250mm starts shooting off and all of the main base heavys start to come out. OP LanceLot

These defence missions are easy because you need to remember it's AI Vs Humans, AI suck.. so throwing a few squads at Human players isn't going to be a challenge, you need to throw more like 400 AI at them at a time for the AI teams to actually do any real damage. Human players can kill 50 AI in a few minutes, shooting fish in a bucket.. give them so much to shoot at, the more AI whom get through the line. They destroy tanks, APC's in small numbers quickly. Plus when the AI spawns miles from the line it gives the Humans time to spot them from miles with better EQ giving the AI 0 chance of reaching their target. Spawn them closer, the only reason they failed this one was because whom ever was in command on the ground failed to either understand his primary objective or isn't a very good leader, or doesn't have any tactical experience. He left his line open in multiple different locations and failed to control his squads and use them to full effect. pathetic attempt to keep his men in static positions without any real defence strategy, other than a wall of bodies. I wouldn't want to be commanded by whomever was in charge of this one. Defeated by AI.. wow, great job Lue.

I have a question for you Luetin. So I run a MILSIM unit for Arma 3. We started way back in BF3 on the 360 but that's another story. I have 961 hours in Arma at the posting of this comment, and I log at least 2 hours, usually more a night. In my time playing Arma, I have done many missions, and made many missions, and had many awesome ideas fail miserably just because, as I'm sure you know what I mean, Arma is Arma. There are so many issues we as Arma players run into because of the engine. (Or that's what I'm assuming the issue is.) What I am referring to are things like awful optimization, donut Ai, weird glitches, (for example shooting an Ai with an entire magazine and then him turning around and wrecking you), (falling through stairs for no reason), and just Arma being Arma. Now I will admit, I don't know a whole lot about making games, but I do know Arma has issues that just ruin the game in some ways and make it incredibly frustrating, and in many cases, unplayable. Don't get me wrong. I love Arma, but I hate Arma. You know what I mean. My friends and I have concluded that we would really like to see a whole new, clean engine put under the hood of Arma that was handmade to run the game that we all want Arma to be. I would like to hear your ideas on this as I love hearing you ramble and share your ideas and your knowledge with us. Thanks Luetin, Michael

I think what you're doing now is pretty good despite AI incompetence at times. You gave the players a lot of chances and they failed to take proper action. I'm not sure how you would implement this or if you do it already, but I think taking the time to explain where they went wrong in TS or whatever form of communication they primarily use, would help them to improve their game and enrich their experience so they can learn from it, like an After Action Report. Have you ever considered limiting and/or reinforcements for the players? Sometimes I feel the players have too much freedom with the equipment they can bring, the amount of times they can "respawn", the revive mod ect. that you yourself aren't utilizing the same amount of freedom they have. While I do absolutely love this kind of freedom it must be met with equal force. Perhaps by limiting factors it will improve their perceived value by players. You could rationalize this by saying NATO doesn't have and isn't willing spend this much money on [resource(s) of choosing]. e.g. allowing everyone to carry a rocket launcher (if that is indeed the case or they the freedom to do so, but I know they will limited by the weight of it though). The only other thing I could suggest is to keep improving your rationalization and to think more of the processes of things and how you come to rationalize things. I wouldn't go so far as to study book and infantry manuals, but if you did. I think it would greatly improve the experience.

Went searching for JSRS 3 Dragonfyre , found JSRS 4 Apex , completly diffrent mod , to be honest JSRS 4 sound are pretty bad. Wipeout's BRRT is ........ And car's engine sounds like electric engine and lots more bad sounds /not changed (just like jet engine sound)
