Hey Luetin mortarman here, just another note on Pre- designated targets most of the time they are only placed on the most likely points of contact and avenues of approach, so like roads leading into the defense. Also you should space your mortar teams apart maybe 50m- 100m so that if a team is captured or killed the others can still operate and defend themselves.

when you say teams do you mean one mortar guy? or the squad as a whole?

Well in Arma I guess it would be just one mortar guy, normally the is a team of 3 per mortar. Another reason we space out our mortars is so that if there is an explosion it doesn't kill all of the mortar guys. Thanks for the reply.

Ever think of doing a 3 teamed mission? Like two teams and AI all vs each other? So they are both competing to get the officers in this case..probably a bit complicated but thought it sounded interesting.

The CSAT Are Extremely Well Camouflaged on the Eastern part of altis , and AAF are Super Super well camouflaged on this Part of Altis its Pretty Awesome! :) the New Visual update has really enhanced my game play Experience All i've done is Up the Saturation to 150 and now Everything POPS! Especially in Bright sunlight

Hey LT, had an idea about your spotting/mortar call ins by the AI. In addition to the squad having 50% or more of members to call in a strike, you could have the spotter units (they have a binocular for their unit card/circle) be able to call in strikes, because it is their job. Just an idea though, I can understand it might be tough to do that in the midst of battle.

its not exactly that the old camos were to dark, as i find them to bright, but thats because of the light level here and when i play.... the stock camos dont seem to have corrected shadowing or something so they always look off.... which is sad and youd think thats something they'd fix and/or improve on?

Hey Luetin!!! You should make a mission where players ride in with Chinhooks fight to cross a field and push farther into the woods to secure an HVT that has Intel on a large enemy base far away from them. Then regroup, resupply, and roll out and take out the base with a large infantry force. @luetin09

Luetin, maybe it would be better if you make your initial mortar ranging shots non-accurate which would give the guys on the ground warning without instant death not to mention that would be more realistic. After all, the whole point of ranging shots is so you can correct fire.

It's a shame they don't use UAV's more, the guys approaching the ridge line could have been alerted about the enemy squad right next to them. Great mission though! Keep it up

I actually restrict their use of UAV's because it often gives so much of an advantage versus the AI that it makes the missions too easy. Thats the difficulty of running Zeus is to balance the equipment available to the NATO team to make it actually challenging.

Tbh it may take some time not just to make, but to complete. I'd say there is well over 50 people on the server, and I can bet you that half of them have lifes (work, sleep, etc).

I remember Ahoyworld having PlayervsBots server. just search for ahoyworld in the arma 3 server browser. However i cannot guarantee that these are the same servers with zeus from the video. I only remember spending a lot of time on their server, but havent ever seen anyone being Zeus.
