I always enjoy the historical background that you provided for the places you visited. There are so many facts that we do not learn from history books. Keep up the good work

Great combination: first, you visit delicious eatery hideouts, followed by telling the history of the town you visited. You have visited so many eatery hideouts that your stomach and intestines must be very well tested and proven (a compliment).

Yes indeed - Chemor is a hidden Gem with very flavorful food to offer. The Hakka "Lui Cha" is so inviting with it's specially concocted gravy - I must try it in one of these days. The roast duck looks moist and it must be again a GEM to be found in Chemor. I have tasted "Wat Tarn Hor" but this episode opened my eye that Chemor (Fatt Kee Restaurant) has that "Crab Mee Wat Tarn Hor" and it really does make my gastric juice oozing out !!! Yatt Lau , Mou Tak Deng !!! 👌👌👌...... With the style of having rojak ( where the rojak sauce is kept separated from the fruits ) there , I believed it make the whole trip complete for Elmo. Kudos for another great episode on food haunting .👏👏👏

Hi Elmo .. thanks for opening my eyes on Chemor's fantastic food joints. Seems the food looks very delicious. Chemor in my memory was only a small town by the main road whenever we used to go back to Butterworth . This is indeed an eye opener . I think whenever we go back to Ipoh , we will make an effort to Chemor to try out these food ... Thanks for the recommendation

I thought it was called Hakka- Hopo because Hopo is a sub category of Hakka. BTW, when I ask Hakka's in KL what type of Hakkas they are , most don't even seem to know which type :)
@malaysiafood3283 ай бұрын
The longer term is ‘hor por hak’

@@RajeshRavindranathan in KL, and central of Selangor, most of them are the Fui Chui Hakka. That's why you still can see the Wisma Fui Chiu, which next to KotaRaya, standing in the downtown.
