The History behind Kasane Teto: Teto originally released as an April Fools joke. She was a fanmade VOCALOID with a voicebank created through the UTAULOID software (a lower quality version of VOCALOID). She had a dream to become a VOCALOID too. Her design is heavily influenced by Hatsune Miku, but she did not copy Miku. To me, Teto sounds completely different from Miku. Teto was accepted and welcomed by Crypton Future Media (the owners of Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO). Teto even has her own model in Project DIVA. Recently, her character has gotten a huge upgrade. She has gotten an incredibly high quality AI voicebank from SynthV, along with a new design. People say that Teto has pretty much achieved her dream and more. Also, Hatsune Miku wasn’t even the original VOCALOID lol, she wasn’t even released until VOCALOID2. Leon and Lola were the first VOCALOIDS.

Okay i’ll do an additional context to the idiots in the back that kept saying teto copied miku. On teto’s release, we all know she’s supposed to be an april fools joke. Her outfit design is heavily inspired by miku. TO FOOL THE FANS THINKING SHE’S GOING TO BE THE NEXT VOCALOID RELEASED AFTER RIN AND LEN. Did teto copied miku’s oufit? Kinda, more like heavily inspired. Did teto copied miku’s singing style? Nope! Did teto copied miku’s voice? Absolutely fucking not! After she got release the VIPPERS had a good laugh and just left at that. But the fans wanted more so, the teto project continued after the troll. On april 2010, teto received an acceptance to piapro, welcoming her to project diva games (she first apeared on project diva 2 as a DLC) At one point, wataru sasaki(the guy who created miku, a legend btw) tested teto on the vocaloid engine but was scrapped due to her losing her charm that she had in utau. There are plans to make teto to an official vocaloid but all attempts are scrapped. So the idea of teto will be a troll/miku copy continued until april of 2023 where we received an announcement that teto will be released as a synthv voicebank literally took over the vocaloid community like a storm. And also, canonically miku, teto, and a fanloid named akita neru are best friends. Known as the triple baka squad. They’re idiots that go really well with each other…
