From what I heard, axolotl like ice cold water. I've even heard people have to have chillers on their aquariums.

60-68°F 16-18°C is what they prefer. being frozen will kill.

Is actually based on a mix between a mud puppy and a grilled lungfish.. since Wooper is the "baby" of the line, it's axolotl qualities were heightened compared to other stages, but not it's only source of inspiration
