Whew! Xhavia is so insufferable here 😬 Singing in cursive as she does and wearing faux locs to appear cool ain’t the only presentation that makes an artist an artist. Neither does being a rapper with a more edgy style. Artists come in ALL forms. Cheyenne out-performed Lex, point blank period. The fake outrage from faux locs was performative . She was Lex’s friend and allowed that to lead her foolish think-piece moment when this ain’t abt friendship but about who ate the most. Cheyenne at the end was exactly right in that as a vocalist, it’s harder to separate yourself from others, and she did exactly that. Cheyenne’s rendition of the Sam Smith song and the EMOTION she expressed to make it BELIEVABLE which is what Diddy suggested she do during her audition, brought me to tears bc I actually FELT the heartbreak of what she was singing. I rewinded it like a dozen times. THAT’S an artist 👏🏾 She took direction well and did better. Lex’s reaction was actually mature and graceful and I applaud her for that. Xhavia’s implication that she wasn’t an artist just bc she wasn’t a regurgitation of her cursive singing or style was disrespectful. You weren’t a judge baby, and thank God for that, remain seated. Cheyenne, who cares whether that girl saw you as an artist or not?? It wasn’t ur job to impress her behind but to impress the audience while leaving an impression, and that you did. Period! Xhavia could go to 🔥 with that garbage take. Now lemme go head and buy Cheyenne’s rendition of this song. Cheyenne also probably would’ve gone further on Idol or The Voice bc I mean her voice and emotion was really beautiful to witness. Endlessly inspiring performance as a singer myself. 🥹🫶🏾
