This captures something profoundly different. It's like a type of peace that you find; a breath of wintery air during meditation. One that overcomes the elements.

As I perceive it, you are one of the most interesting (and maybe to be historically important in meta-retrospect) for the future of xentonality. Few succeed to make aesthetically striking and at the same time pleasing/contrasting music. Also the way you approach ratios within an equal division system reminds me of my ratio orders theory - approach . 535 cents is also one of my favourites, along with 366,433,419(inversion of pi/2 ratio!), 833(phi), and I strongly believe many important new harmonies ( in essence, hidden) are going to be revealed based on the universal truth of the Ratios (witchcraft is another way to put it) Numbers relationships, are behind forms, ideas, characters, harmonies and literally anything conceivable and measurable , derived from the unity, or the enfolded order, numbers are born, the universe manifests itself, and the monad of plotinus, the tao, the ancient wisdom lost, with technology combined is the tool to the advancement of our spirituality through intra-vibrational healing. 1:2:3:4 the Pythagoreans knew a lot.. Its now time to make the neo/meta/Pythagoreans speak all the conceivable harmonies of the universe up to the edge of infinity! In other words : bravo Zhea!

Hi, I'm sure you get comments like this all the time, but I wanted to add to the pile: I found your other channel today from a post on reddit, and was fascinated by your journey and your dedication to helping others. I was skimming through related videos and ended up here, realizing I recognized not only the name, but also the artistic voice. I had to go check my computer to make sure of something. Sure enough, I still have this wonderful album called "Dreamsura" that I bought off bandcamp in 2013, back when it was released under a different name. I can only imagine the struggles involved in your journey, but I'm here to say you've clearly kept your voice (pun intended). Huge fan. Glad to hear you're still going. Thanks for all the wonderful music.

Very mysterious. The intonations pull on the heartstrings in both light and dark ways Z. Really, I still recommend trying to get some of your compositions on the Sunday Morning show up here called Pacific Notions (KEXP-DJ Alex) I bet he would play it. I think it would fit with the down tempo and Eno-like quality of what his show is all about and it would get you even more exposure as a composer and performer.

I was just about to send you a message on Bandcamp to tell you how much I was looking forward to the rest of your LP and this popped up. Harmonic witchcraft!

So beautiful and ethereal. The mysticism of the color dynamic really incites feelings of comfort and familiarity. Almost like a universal earthy spirit of sorts. Amazing work.

Your songs like this and prayer room make me want a microtonal piano or something that can play microtonal notes because this just sounds great

I don't know whether the refrences to spirituality and magic are aesthetic or serious, but I am litterally going to use this to practise witchcraft, so it's very appropreate.

Both serious and aesthetic. Thank you. :)

Fantastic as always! So mysterious and enigmatic, yet the ideas feel crystal-clear in some way. Very much looking forward to your upcoming album, or should I say albums? Seems like you have another track going on parallel to the microtonal stuff, with the more catchy Windowpain, Fashion, etc. Is that right?

Beautiful. Charles Ives would be proud. Is this a software instrument or do you actually have a fluid acoustic piano? The timbre is gorgeous and suits the tuning perfectly. I'm also curious what software you used for the instruments on Sola (literally my favorite microtonal song of all time; you're a genius).
@moontan912 жыл бұрын
probably software and probably Pianoteq, it seems a favorite amongst microtonalist composers.

Amazing piece. I hear some strange high frequency sound in between certain gestures. Is that the tuning changing?

Sympathetic resonances maybe?

I hear it, too. Would it have anything to do with KZbin's compression, or perhaps the upload being in 480p?

You are presumeably using "undecimal" to refer to 11, your family of /11. Having craftily multiplied your range by 2 (11 to 22) becomes (22 to 44). You can multiply 22 by 3/2 to get 33 your chosen 7th semitone, plus twice as many choices for selecting harmonic steps either side of 3/2. Diabolical cunning. I like your choice of 15/11 (aurally). 44/31 is the other tritone. We shouldn't use "tritone" because that belongs to 12et. "Perfect 5th" refers to 3/2. "Major 3rd" often refers to 5/4. So that perpetuates the confusion between 5th & 3, 3rd & 5. In fact we should be thinking of 4:5:6 for clarity the major triad with 4:5 & 4:6. Please reconsider your use of "undecimal" - it really does not suggest 11.
@ZheannaErose3 жыл бұрын
It really does suggest 11. Having an infinite subset which multiplies exponentially primes is less a clear picture of the sound of a prime than the harmonic gestalt created when its used as a root. I've talked about this extensively in all my work. Undecimal has a clear sound and within its first 2 octaves its only 22 notes. Very easy to hear as a gestalt. 11-limit is not. 4:5:6 is certainly a major triad but 22:28:33 is also a major triad. 4:5:6 is harmonic major. 22:28:33 is undecimal major. They are just shades of major. Thanks.

There's so much dissonance in just intonation. I find it so hard to listen to most of the intervals without "hearing" a more resonant neighbour.
