This gimbal is simple design, it’s rugged and easy to use, it’s not fancy and full of features like dji and its most recent models. I definitely recommend getting a Crane 2 in 2023! When everyone is going to one direction is time to rethink and choose what is best for yourself even if the best is downgrading your gear, that’s what I did and I could not be happier. The FF unit that's shipped with the CRANE 2 includes several micro USB cables. The ONLY cable that will make the FF motor work is the cable with NO TAG ATTACHED. I found this out after a few hours of troubleshooting. If you use any other cable, the FF will not work.

I mean how should the Sony 7 III come into contact with carne 2 .... the contact hole is busy with the focus machine. I do not understand how crane 2 can control both the focus machine and at the same time control the camera

Thanks mate, so useful. It was very hard to setup as I was using it with a vintage lens (Helios 44-m, my fav) and I gave up in the end as the focus ring is too stuck and the little focus ring can't make it. Eventually I mounted my Sony 35mm f1.8 and it works nicely on that one 👌👍😎

Hello Tomas, I got a problem and is that I can't find how to set the ABpoints. I have tried updated the Crane 2 I got the 1.73v but still doesn't work for me. The Servo Follow Focus works well except the ABpoint which is annoying because I can't set a start and end of the focus and I'm putting in risk my lenses. Could you tell me some recommendations?

Yeah, the servo system sort of acts as a middle man. So you plug the camera into the servo, then the servo plugs into the gimbal and all camera function work as usual.

Not sure why you would want to set up a follow focus. Connecting the Gimbal directly to the camera allows you to manually focus using the Crane 2's wheel. Are there advantages to this method? I'm assuming that you're using it for focusing and not zooming ?

Thanks so much for putting this time for the video. Quick question: Since you just connected the FF motor with the gimbal itself, it should be camera brand agnostic, right? I was hoping I could use it with a Fuji XT3, which in theory is not supported. The latest firmware on the gimbal and the XT3 supposedly give it some controls via USB, but I'm more interested in the mechanical FF motor. Any answer would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Every time I set up the follow focus unit, the metal arm attached to the body of the crane unscrews while focusing. I make sure to secure it tightly every time, but it still manages to come unscrewed. I can't find any solutions online and am beginning to think that I have a faulty arm. Have you come across this problem and do you have any possible solutions?

Same here, I wasn't sure if it was due to the camera weight or not setting it up properly. The teeth of the motor seem to move apart from the focus wheel's if I don't move it at a snail's pace.

@@joshiwilke5831 Yes! Put the allen wrench that they gave you through the holes in the arm and use it to tighten the arm really tight. I noticed that it always unscrews when I used my hand to tighten it.
