What no KZbin Crane M3 tester tells you: - the combination with Sony 6400 (lighter as A7C) and Tamron 1120 is the maximum that can just be balanced without hitting the camera - the supplied cables do not work and are too short - changing settings (aperture, iso etc.) via the control dial is not possible with Sony - photo shooting (camera is in auto mode, other photo programmes also tested) does not work with - Panorama, timelapse via the app. The gimbal moves through the waypoints, but no photos are triggered. - Only handy if you move all arms back to the original position. I tested everything with the latest firmware 1.72. It is possible with the Weebill S and DJI Ronin. My recommendation: Don't get lulled into buying the M3 yet!!!!
@JakeSloan2 жыл бұрын
Funny I used the cables and they worked fine and were long enough (not a lot of slack but they reach no problem). I haven’t claimed you could adjust settings on Sony cameras. This has been the case over many different gimbals. As to the other things I’m sure they will update the firmware soon and as far as weight I have balanced a much heavier camera and lens combo (a7sIII and tamron 17-28) without issue and still been able to move it to the low position.

@TheThaiLife2 жыл бұрын
I'm kind of confused why so many people are pushing this gimbal for big cameras, which involves banging, the camera hitting the motor and body, removing eyecups and duct tape to get to work unless holding your camera level. If Zhiyun REALLY wanted to do this properly, why did they not make the clearances just slightly larger? This is just a bit better than using an OM5 with an A1 to me. People are going to be pissed if they actually pay nearly $400 and see what a stretch this is.
@JakeSloan2 жыл бұрын
thats why I show it in use with a small camera while it can balance larger cameras its really meant for smaller stuff
@TheThaiLife2 жыл бұрын
@@JakeSloan I understand, I can see that Zhiyun is pushing this function and loaning out these units to a LOT of reviewers who are saying kind of the same as you. Please remember, and I can say this because I live in Asia, in China, it's safety 3rd. These guys will recommend things that will cause you to lose credibility with your viewers. Say, I buy this and put a scratch on my camera, you don't know if the $370 device's motors will even hold up long-term et cetera. Just remember who you are dealing with both your viewers and these companies that will do and recommend anything for a quick buck today. If they wanted it for this purpose, they should have designed the clearances and motor strength to match.

Not sure to be honest. I’d recommend sticking to smaller lighter weight bodies.

Can this handle a A7S III + 16-35 lense and Rode Plus Microphone?

no that would be too difficult to balance

It seems really nice. I like the light and small size, but it seems a bit expensive at each increment.

Yeah it might be it really comes down to your needs and uses

Found a FLAW in the new Zhiyun Crane M3: when built-in light is turned up anything above 50% (to 100%) brightness, the handle (or motors) vibrate. From 1% to 49% brightness, it's fine. I'm using my iPhone 13 Pro Max with SmallRig Cage. BALANCE CHECK multiple times: manually and autocalibration. 100% repeatable. Confirm on YOUR end please? :) Thanks! - Maybe the energy from the light affects the motor torque strength? Above 50% light setting I feel a soft “brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”.

Tony, I have been trying to test this but I haven't been able to yet. For me I didn't notice anything when running mine but I also didn't specifically listen for it

I watch these videos that say how great this gimbal is and then read the reviews of people that have purchased it. This sounds like a sales video not a review.
@JakeSloan9 ай бұрын
strange because I use mine a LOT and still like it... maybe the people that post only negative stuff need to work on understanding how to use their equipment

to blue tooth connect the gimbal with the camera you will need the bluetooth adaptors from Zhiyun

Bluetooth connection to your Sony ZV1 requires the "Multifunction Expansion Base" that -- so far -- is only available if you purchase the $650 Pro package.
@AndyGrow2 жыл бұрын
@@JakeSloan How can I get the Bluetooth adapters from Zhiyun? Are they sold separately? I see the multifunction expansion base, but from what I can tell that's only available if you buy the $650 Pro package.
