Zhiyun Smooth 4 - Cinematic Test Footage

Recently Zhiyun challenged me to Leave all my filmmaking equipment and try to make a video using only my smartphone and their new #Smooth4 Smartphone gimbal. It was totally a success, I had so much fun time playing with the new gimbal.

When you are filming slow motion shots, what are your settings? Do you also slow it down in post or are you filming it while in slow motion? I’m using Filmic Pro and I’m trying to see about this slow mo but already I have been getting GREAT SHOT! Looks like a MOVIE ON SOME SHOTS! It’s almost SCARY LOL!!! 😩🙌🏾🤣💕

We film natural sight and sound walks in cities using gopro hero 6 black and a zhiyun gimbal, and find the combination just right (you can see several films using this combination and also using our camera phone with the gimbal on our page if it's helpful?). Kirpal Panacer he’s they give that Big bag to carry with you which is quite massive, but the devices isn’t that too much delicate, you can simply insert it in your back pack!

Juanchi TV thanks for reaching!! Yes I was sitting in back of the car! But tru the app you can actually set a target to follow and you don’t need to do anything, the gimbal will automatically follow the target, that’s the cool thing!

I played around with the controls for a while without shooting video - about 10-15 minutes - the battery percentage went from 60 down to 50% on the phone.

Just thanks for this video .. I was thinking of buying the "Osmo M2" but I think your use of Smooth 4 made me want to try it. I watched a lot of videos about that. But I can not find the answer, Can we use Filmicpro with? I see that yes but also no .. Especially the fact where Smooth 4 doesn't recognize the app The same, I saw that we could not hunt and that the device follows the target? Anyway, you have just won a follower! GRmazing hey! So the gimbal can work Also without their app so you can use filmicpro app. In fact in this video I used the filmic for the best quality! :) I used mixed 4K and 1080p high framerate to get that smooth slow mo! :)

Did you see any issues with the internal iphone lens stabilization "fighting" with the gimbal ? Sometimes with these gimbals you get a wobbling effect as the internal stabilization of the iphone is compensating for gimbal movement. Didn't seem to notice that in this footage, thus the questions. Thanks.

grazie per la cortese risposta :) al massimo pensavo di metterci una lente moment (magari quella anamorfica appena uscita :) ! ), ma siccome sono indeciso tra questo gimbal e il dji osmo2 e sapevo che il dji ha avuto problemi di stabilizzazione (l'OS andava in conflitto con il dji), non volevo correre rischi :) Tra l'altro utilizzerei filmic pro come app per girare... grazie ancora :)

The problem is you can't film it at 24fps, you need an ND filter and maybe a lens, like Moondog Anamorphic. I'd like to see that on Smooth 4. Otherwise it's a great movie.

The Smooth 3 can carry 260g, but you still need a counterweight to balance it. How will the Smooth 4 behave? It can only carry 220g. Counterweights for this Gimble do not yet exist or can you use those of Smooth Q or 3? Anybody know that?
