Zhongshan Chinese station, Antarctica || India 🇮🇳 Vs China 🇨🇳 In Antarctica🇦🇶

Hey guys, Zhongshan Station is the second Chinese research station in Antarctica and was opened on February 26, 1989.
It is located in the Larsemann Hills in East Antarctica, and near by Bharati, Indian Research station and Russian Progress Station.
The station can accommodate 60 summering personnel and 25 wintering personnel. It is a base for research on marine, glaciological, geological, and atmospheric sciences.

The Schirmacher Oasis is a peripheral region of Antarctica that has long been studied by Russians and Norwegians and there is nothing interesting there. But the Lassen Hills area is very promising for building a full-fledged city. This is the largest oasis in Antarctica where there is fertile land. That is why the USSR chose it for its capital of the Antactic Program - Progress station. By the way, it is one kilometer from the Chinese station closer to the sea. There is also a small Romanian station nearby, it can be seen from the windows of the Chinese station.

@@swapnilsankhevlog3036 A station previously existed in the 1990s, a very small one - Jinnah Antarctic Station. The station modules were purchased in the UK and they are exactly the same as on the Romanian summer station next to the Chinese one - red balls.
