on the topic of qingyi as a better anby, it doesn't really matter which is better cus in the end you need 2 stunner for 2 team, and for players who don't get koleda or lycaon, qingyi's value is through the roof since stun is so damn important in shiyu defense that it's absolutely mandatory to have 2 stun built for all accounts. so in terms of future investment qingyi has highest value out of the 3 of the upcoming chars, that is if you don't lose 50/50 to koleda or lycaon

Wanted to write the same comment. In the end, I think who spooks us will determine whether a character is worth or not. Zhu Yuan might not be a must pull meta wise if you already got Soldier and Nekomata, but no support/stun. Without any standard S stun, then Qingyi definitely is a must pull. As for Jane Doe, there are high chances she becomes ZZZ's Kafka, in which case she wouldn't be a mere upgrade over Piper. Right now, I'd love to get Koleda, but I also really want Qingyi, so Koleda spook would cause a huge dilemma

It's tough when you see others get lucky. Remember your guarantee from losing the 5050 will carry over so you're only 90 pulls away. So... you might be able to Zhu or Qingyi first and then get Jane, depending on how many pulls you have.

Ans: Only pull for ZhuYuan because she's the only Ether dps and don't pull the rest because there's already A rank characters of the same role. Edit: Ellen is fine, only if u have Lycaon or else it's incomplete and there will be significant drop in DMG because from my testing, her DMG is slightly worse than Nekomata and Soldier 11 for solo fights but the utilities from Lycaon and Soukaku fixes that (strictly strong ice buffs but weak when not played together).

Anby is a little cause for discussion though, she's relatively clunky when compared to the S rank stunners and it might be worth it to some people to get an upgrade... Zhu Yang though, absolutely. the problem is that Anby is needed for both the electric team and the Zhu Yuan/Nicole team if you don't have Grace, which leaves you short one person when you need two teams for Shiyu Defense.. Getting Qingyi solves that.

I believe QingYi to be the most efficient agent to pull. Her passive is rumored to activate when paired with ATTACK units or police faction units. Attack + Stun is bread and butter to the game, you will use her on many teams for a looooong time.

Yeah, this is pretty much my logic as well. My Piper triggers Assault super fast, Anby breaks enemies just fine. Getting an S-Rank upgrade to an A-Rank you already have just doesn't make as much sense as filling a vacant slot on your roster.

I actually think Qingyi's value goes up if Anby is your only stunner. While Anomaly/Disorder is a great playstyle on 1.0 and doesn't require a Stunner, it's pretty likely that every Crit carry will want a stunner, so having 2 for team building makes it easier. Especially since Qingyi only requires an Attack unit to trigger her faction core passive. Especially since Stunners are extremely easy to build and gain basically nothing from the S Rank W-Engines we have so far, so they are very F2P friendly. If you lave Lycaon or Koleda then a skip is likely ok gameplay wise, but if Anby is your only option for a Stunner, I'd value Qingyi a lot. I will still try to get all 3 of them because I get easily baited by cute character design and cool animations.

I think you should choose according to the units you do not have yet: 1. No 5-star stunner? Get Qingyi 2. No 5-star attacker or you want a different attacker? Get Zhu Yuan 3. You want to build a disorder setup as your second team? Get Jane Doe (though you need a second anomaly unit as well) 4. Default: Get Zhu Yuan Also, don't sleep on Soukaku. Her daze is surprisingly high and she provides an amazing attack boost. She can be used as the pseudo-stunner for your second team until you do manage to get a second 5-star unit from the banners. Don't forget, that she is compatible with Zhu Yuan due to being support.

Well, if the leaks are true and the upcoming banners looking like this: Zhu Yuan - Ben + Nicole Qingyi - Anby + Billy Jane Doe - Seth + Corin then to me the banner with the most value is Jane Doe's banner for many reasons.. for the first banner, I don't like Ben playstyle and Nicole is nice but I'm not really using her in any team .. as for the second banner, I have C3 Anby and I don't see anymore value with the other characters ( Billy and Qingyi ) so its a hard pass. Jane Doe banner have 2 new characters + Seth is gonna be amazing in any anomly team + Corin is an amazing ATK agent so maxing her out is not a waste. with that being said I'm going all out on Jane Doe banner 🙏

Jane Doe is to me the most valuable pull of them all, as her passive just sounds irreplaceable, multiple people expect her to become ZZZ’s Kafka. @@PrometheanSein In HSR one of the damage archetypes is damage over time, which currently has two limited 5* characters - Kafka and Black Swan. Kafka is seen as one of the most future proof characters in the game because her specialty - detonating DoT (not depending on enemies' turns for damage) - is extremely good as it bypasses one of the drawbacks of the damage type. Like DoT, I believe ZZZ's anomaly damage is seen as more consistent and less dependent on stun windows than the standard DPS - Support - Stun setup. It's also unable to use critical damage, which Jane Doe enables, therefore bypassing one of the damage type's drawbacks. Effectively, it is going to act as a multiplier for other Anomaly units, so on top of being an actual Anomaly carry, I'm pretty sure she'll be the best support for other Anomaly units but we'll see

I *need* Jane doe. Her design is the best in any of the hoyo games foe me right up there with Kafka and yoimiya. I havent spent a single encrypted yet and so have grace (who i also love) and every 4 star so im at loss for pull value prior to jane. Might go foe the current zhu but not sure. Edit: i went for it. I had bizarrely bad luck: had to go full pity (89 pulls lmao) into Losing 50/50 for S11, pulled 2 more tens after that (since its what i had) and ended up with c6 nicole and c6 ben. guess im going to save the rest of what i get for jane doe but ill definitely have some left over when that happens. i suppose ill run a S11/Ben/support comp (like nicole since shes C6 and that debuff is quite nice). Ben C6 makes his daze multis almost as good as a stun unit but im not 100% sure how hes gonna end up but man i gotta use the stuff i pulled somehow lol.

I like Zhu Yuan, Jane Doe and Qingyi so im not sure which upcoming waifu i want to pull for right now lol. Haven't touched the limited banners yet so i've currently been playing the game with Nekomata (first 5* fromt he standard banner), Anby & Nicole. I only have enough for one pity so if i lose the 50/50 (which i probably will) on Zhu Yuan then the guarantee will probably go to one of the other two.

Thank you for talking about how ridiculous mhy is for putting an S rank electric stun so close to release after their arguable flagship char shares the same attribute combo as well. Just in general the way they have been assigning the attributes makes no sense. We have two physical attackers on the SAME faction, soon to be electric stun character that powercreeps the face of the game, and if the leaks are true there's an agent that shares the same combo as Ellen Joe.

For what I feel from playing HSR Anby will be powercreep by Qin yi but not by much. So in my book there is not real incentive at this moment to pull for her. Yes. I will need more stun units but we have 3 stun units that work quite well on the standar banner. I may need to wait a bit to get one but I am going to get one. So if for now I can play with anby and clear the content I know for a fact that after a while we will have a new stun unit that will powercreep anby and qin yi much more than any difference anby and qin yi can have at the moment. I only have to be a bit more patient and use the 4 stars available for now since the game is new and still easy for how it will be in the future. But maybe I am worng. Who knows?

Isn't it kinda off that there are 3 S ranks and 1 A rank for the debut characters for a faction? It'd make more sense if there were only 2 S ranks and the other 2 would be A ranks. It'd be difficult to get some faction synergy if most of them are limited S Ranks characters.

Noice i lost the 50 50 on Ellen banner to Koleda and i'm ready to pull her, i liked her personnality during the main story and her gameplay look really great and i really like stun agent, i have almost every permanent S-rank agent as a F2P (including Koleda and Lycaon). I will not have a elec / ice / ether DPS for now and too much stun agent but idc, i'm not focusing on the meta but on gameplay + personality of the Agent (and if the design is cool it's even better). (and when i mean almost every permanent S-rank agent as F2P, i mean i have every agent in the game except Rina and Ellen, my permanent banner, really got blessed at 140 / 300 with an average S-rank pity of 28).

I'm way more stoked for characters from the Sons of Calydon we saw in the release trailer. 180 pull for getting Ellen, lose 50/50, and not having a single S in all the pull...90 for pity is way to much, it's realy bad for the game...Now we have a new unique meta element attacker who came just after. I will finish the story (or watch it in youtube) and drop the game if the drop rate and pity are this bad

No, Hoyo ain't shooting themselves in the foot with Qingyi. Shiyu Defense needs two teams, and a 2nd stunner on your second team goes a long way. Also, DPS get powercrept, but supports and stunners will have much longer staying power for your account.
