@@dasi2957 Great advice. I would have said something very similar. Looking at Google Earth and checking coverage in different areas and countries helps tremendously, and you have time to digest everything specific to whatever area you’re in, and what it looks like. Just doing a quick look at the Kamchatka peninsula in eastern Russia gave me a better idea of what the area looks like which can help in future games.

Can confirm that brick surfaces on the streets in the Netherlands are for 30km/hour streets. They increase road noise and makes it uncomfortable to drive quickly, hence making drivers more likely to stick to the speed limit.

It's funny to me how pro Geogussr players operate sometimes. Zig is obviously 100x better than me at the game but how do you recognise 'Portuguese pavement' (whatever this may be) but not the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge in Lisbon?

being good at this game is much more about knowing clues that may repeat in a country/region rather than memorizing various landmarks that one might encounter in the off chance

Sure, ok you got it in the end, but you need to learn your landmark buildings! I saw that you missed the Auckland Sky Tower recently also. Instant give-aways for most. Also, GC is much flatter than Brisbane, and that is such a typical GC suburban area.

Trekkers disgust me on an official map. I know all the pros hat eon the World map, and for the most part I think its not terribly called for. But I 100% agree with them on the fact of the trekkers. If World map dropped those, I'd think it was an ok (not great, but, ok) map, but because of them I still think its a below average map. Too bad the devs have nearly abandoned making the game better in the last few months.
