Let me know in the comments below which Commanders from Streets of New Capenna or Battle for Baldur's gate you are most excited about and want to see if future polls!
@3ndlessL00p2 жыл бұрын
Baldurs Gate got so many awesome dragons, so I'm hoping to see some of them in your polls. Especially want to see how you'd build a deck for Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm (Temur dragon that copies each dragon you play). But honestly, there's so many cool options in this new set with all the cheap commanders with backgrounds as well, looking forward to getting some ideas from your videos.
@GrazzetMTG2 жыл бұрын
@@3ndlessL00p There are quite a number of solid dragons here, so there is a good chance that a number of them will make the polls - so stay tuned!

For anyone still looking at this commander, there is a budget sidegrade for phyrexian reclamation in the new sets called Vat of rebirth, its a great alternative and easier to find. Cheers!
@reesercliff Жыл бұрын
It's actually better in this deck than phyrexian reclamation as it puts the creature onto the battlefield instead of your hand and your commander makes treasures which using also put counters on your vat. Actually using the 3 treasures your commander makes and sac a creature will allow you to use vat to reanimate every turn creating a glorious loop. I actually wouldn't recommend phyrexian reclamation in this deck anyway because a lot of your creatures are going to be more manageable intensive

I finally got the cards for this together and tried it at my LGS's usual Sunday Commander games. I played 5 games, and won four of them. This thing is absolutely cracked for a budget deck.

EXCELLENT video. Clear graphics, nice backgrounds that aren't distracting, no overbearing music, no wasted time on long narrations or filler phrases (for example, some people will say something like "so um, yeah, this is a really really good card in with this commander" after every card). Deck is well-designed and within a good budget. Bravo.

Having made this deck myself I highly recommend Marionette Master, hitting an opponent for 4 whenever you spend a treasure, and Phyrexian Soulgorger just being an 8/8 for 3. Also Professional Face-Breaker being extra ramp as well as letting you trade treasures for cards.
@ellefent36492 жыл бұрын
Considering building this deck. Do you have suggestions for cuts?
@Acecrafter992 жыл бұрын
@@ellefent3649 I don't run the lands matter cards besides rhino beetles, so I cut wayfarer's bauble for elves of deep shadow, fertilid for sol ring, and burnished hart for elvish mystic to help make sure something is on board before ziatora. I swapped budoka gardener to solemn simulacrum because gardener is super hard to keep alive. I also upgraded from rampant growth to nature's lore. Elf/ring -> cultivate -> 5 mana creature -> ziatora is a solid line that happens pretty often Replace ram through and master's rebuke with bedevil and putrefy. I swapped two one mana undying cards and ruthless technomancer for palace siege, dawn of the dead, and prowling geistcatcher (who's saved me from many a board wipe) for more repeatable recursion. You can also go whip of erebos if you have it it's real mean with how much damage you do and I routinely end games with 70+ life. I cut momentous fall for rishkar's expertise for the free creature cast

Don't let the other cards hear you say that! Seriously though, I very much like the consistency that Burnished Hart provides to a lot of builds as colorless land ramp (which colors outside of green have a hard time accessing and green has to play lots of $ for the better options) which is why I recommend it so much. Rules Question: What happens when you double the power of a star/star creature. Say for something that scales from your lands. e.g. Rubblehulk: If you attempt to double it's power, does it scale back to the number of lands you control or does it actually double?

Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar might be a little slow because it's ability puts itself back to hand, but I think it would still be good here I also really like Sneak Attack as an upgrade for the deck
@GrazzetMTG2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, recursion is "worst" then reanimation in most cases but since Multanti is still going to be huge and we should have more than enough treasures to help cast him, he still feel good in the build! Sneak attack is also a solid option to cheat out our higher CMC creatures if we want to immediate damage and fling. Good suggestion!

How long does it take you from conception to finish to brew a deck? It takes me weeks to finish a deck, between work and life I have small windows to brew. I'm curious why dose know one run mazirek kraul death priest? All those sacs would pump the rest of the board for bigger sacs next turn.
@GrazzetMTG2 жыл бұрын
This issue here is that Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest is a better include in a deck that can make a wider baordstate than this, since this build tends to not have a big big board and creatures (outside of Ziatora herself) tend to not stick around for too long anyway. Still, I would say that it is not a bad include, since it is a sac payoff after all - so run it if you feel so inclined!
@samuelandrew11802 жыл бұрын
I love the deck tech and can’t wait to build it, but I do have a question. Would all the “until end of turn” effects end before creatures could be sacrificed to Ziatora? Edit: I looked it up, there’s beginning of end step and then cleanup. You can sac creatures during the beginning and the “until end of turn” effects don’t end until the cleanup phase.
@kayak26622 жыл бұрын
Surely U can order it how U want
@GrazzetMTG2 жыл бұрын
Exactly - sorry for the late response but yeah, most if not all "power doubling" effects don't bleed off until the turn actually ends during/after cleanup, so it works fine with Ziatora and other fling effects!
