Unfortunately, Zib did not know that the laws of physics were only abated while in the appropriate seat. When the craft accelerated, Zib was crushed against the rear bulkhead. Although he survived that, due to his trinket, he did not survive the phase shift required for entry into hyperspace. When autopilot returned to its origin, the locals opened it up, resigned to the fact that, yet again, the same team allowed their ship to be hijacked.

I like that Sasquatch enters the scene after the protagonist calls out to the UFO/Aliens (subtle connection there; well done). The old school brick phone is a nice touch and humorous. 😁
