Hands down my favorite vanilla ship. My greatest mistake was getting this before Doom tbh, but now I prefer Doom as an AI ship anyway. Being Hands on with Ziggy has been the greatest joy I have in ship combat, it's insane. In terms of AI officers, haven't really had an issue with ziggy but I use something completely different. 4 heavy needler and 2 tach lance is my goto if I dont have rift cascade emitter.

It mostly just looked to me that the ship was trying to be cautious when it was high on flux, out of frontal armour, low on hull and surrounded by enemies... Once it got into a better position and was given some aggressive orders it went to town again

Maybe you're right but at 5:09 I should have attacked the approaching Falcon instead of phasing (I have an aggressive officer). I had nobody around the Zigg though.

I have had all kinds of weird AI behavior in 96. I have watched ship drop shields in the face of a higher class vessel without having any flux. I have watch my capital ships vent flux and wait 5 seconds before reactivating weapons just face tanking damage without doing anything not even raising shields. I have also seen them death lock when they obviously should not and then watch them death spin (facing towards closest ship constantly target switching) even when it is the least threatening one in range. I also watch my High Intensity Laser prefer shielded targets with an unshielded target is in range while my Gauss or High Velocity Drivers prefer unshielded targets... don't get me started on targeting fighters with Hellbore... I also hate that Omega SRM missles like to blow their load up front instead of waiting for ships to load flux then over powering them. I do love the Omega Resonator missiles... they rock hard and are straight up superior to any other medium size missile hands down. They make the non XIV Legion better than the XIV Legion. They are better than the Omega Torpedoes. The AI in 96 is wildly different from 95. It can't focus fire worth a darn and it just can't handle. It's at the point where I see my ships doing stupid things all the time. Whether I am vanilla or modding... same thing. I will even see my own ships "gracefully" hold fire while an enemy ship is overloaded... I am like... what the absolute phizuck is this? FIRE at the flapping ship it's a sitting duck!

I feel the pain, at least Alex is trying to fix behavior on 0.97a. We will see because what on paper a loadout should do isn't the same as real combat.

Maybe something went wrong capture orders which caused problems with AI. I've noticed that in 4:57 zigg doesn't have any capture orders, but in 5:21 it shows a capture order to the right. Then in 6:04 it shows capture order for a different point, and then it started to work properly after you cancelled the order.

Yeah, it's weird that he can't attack when he's moving. The ship had no difficulty until then.

Do you think it's a bug for any ships, only for Ziggy or for phase ships in general ?

@@MisterG_Gaming When im fighting regular bounties I just use capture on all points from the beginning and Ive never had issues, but I'm not using phase ships. Once Ive used doom fleet. Dont remember exactly what I did, but I didnt have any issues. Maybe something with latest patch. Did this issue occured only once or does it happen from time to time ?

@@wueska383 it happens in some battles but I never really watch fully Ziggurat until now. Like chasing a Radiant unphase and take all the damage to the point I needed to backoff manually.

@@MisterG_Gaming Have you tried putting in o search and destroy order so that it won't respond to any generic orders ?

Zig was intentionally made OP so that's unsurprising but still, nice video. I wouldn't have the balls to hand the Zig to AI even after the phase AI buff. What's the agression level? I prefer Tach + Resonator. The range match is very useful. Tach also has less OP and better damage at long range. The extra EMP means you can use your motes as support/PD instead. Not sure if the AI can handle this build. Maybe steady/cautious? Still waiting for the goon squad build breakdown.

AI personality is aggressive. Tachyon or Autopulse are 2 alternative for large weapons (one for sniping and the other against shield). Rifts from Rift Cascade Emitters deal hard flux to shield so you want to maximize the range bonus to create even more of them when you use weapons like Phase Lances. Resonators cost a lot of OP for what they bring, maybe try something else instead since you can generate a lot of soft flux. Motes are great PD but you need other kind of PD to be able to deal against slow missiles/fighters; your worst enemy is to phase for too long.

Everything will be easy if you have an omega weapon. So can you show me how to get omega weapons except at alpha site
@MisterG_Gaming Жыл бұрын
There's 3 ways to find omegas : 1) like you said, the alpha site where you fight Zigg. Go top right to find a cache for small/medium omegas 2) 2 Tesseracts (Doritos) near a coronal hypershunt. You can only find 2 coronal hypershunts in each playthrough and they are in a blue giant or blue supergiant. You can't control what Doritos will use as weapons (that means what you can find overall) but you can shuffle the RNG to get their current weapons by not using a ship or 2 for example. There's 4 Doritos in total. 3) Last one is by a NPC at the bar with a high or very high military contact. If you find the bounty with a Tesseract, save before and take the quest. If the drop pool is bad, you can always reload and not take it. Few months later, you will be able to get it again, with a new Doritos and new weapons. Hope it helps.
