Actually, Mackenzie's rendition was better. However, I agree with you they should both have gone through. But that's a TV Show, across the years they have often choosen candidates simply because they were more marketable to their TV audience.

Mackenzie did, I personally thought, JUST BARELY won the sing off. However, I wish so much Ziggy that they’d done a top 25. I know the judges love you and the vast majority of America loves you too. Even if there some Americans that think you may be a tad unique or slightly different, they’ll still remember and judge you by this, you have a super good voice bud, and a really kind heart. Personally Ziggy's voice isn't my cup of tea, but I still can hear that he's so good that it's really a shame to not put him in the top 24. With that said, I do really like Mackenzie and I liked his version of the song more because it was more raw and to me Ziggy's performance sounded more rehearsed in a way that made me not feel the song in the same way that I did when Mackenzie sung.
