My brother and I used to listen to the song in the car on the way to Key West every summer growing up when we were kids. Just us two. He was 17 and I was 12. He died in 9/11. I was just listening to the song and how coincidental it goes with his life legacy. There are so many revelations is this song. I love how his memory is through this song. Dont know the past don’t know the future. 💙

Nope! He has his voice but not his essence. Damian has the essence. The rebel, the genius militant lyrics. That's Damian. Ziggy is watered down and sings for the IDF. Bob is rolling over in his grave at the thought!!!
@Joao_gabriel928 ай бұрын
@@mature1ca he's a fuckin' disgrace for bob's legacy because of that. he threw the militancy against colonialism and opression that his father spent 20 years fighting against in the trash. That's why Damian is the real one. he has the spirit and essence of the REAL bob marley, not the mellowed out one that seems like an idiot singing "one love". nah. Bob is more than that, and i'm happy that at least one son is respecting his legacy

@@sibusisiwencube1848 Hi , I was 17 my friend in 1988 & I loved this type of music , not just Ziggy Marley of course but quite a lot of reggae artists , & around 1987 era I think was the best year for a lot of new releases , okay I don’t tend nowadays to listen to reggae that much but still kept hold of a few timeless classics for nostalgia reasons , especially toots & the Maytals . It’s just a crying shame Bob went so young , if he’d have had his toe sorted out , I’m sure he would have lived a bit longer & release some more records but we’ll never know what would have come otherwise since his death , I believe his toe or Cancer in his toe caused his death & wouldn’t have it removed. Even after all this time , I still say - one love to Bob 1945-1981 R.I.P. Dear friend with maximum respect to his children ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
