He wanted to save the world, but his Fender Guitar couldn't do it. Not even a Les Paul Standard could do that much. He just needs guitar that you can feel as much as you can hear.

I am. I was a HUGE fan in my late teens in the 70's of Bob Marley, still am. I had all his albums in vinyl. Lol .Going through a tough, serious illness, and I'm here reminiscing. My soul feels better, lighter, listening to his music. He had such wisdom. It saddens me to see all the divisiveness in the world today. He was truly a force for good. ❤

I suspect that that they half lipsynched it. The original lead guitar was played by The White Wailer (cause he was white - fact) and sounds eerily like that. If Peter managed to play it like that great, but otherwise credit to the white wailer I will name him in the next comment.

Honestly ? KZbin should disable the thumbs down button for this song. Just an incredible guitar solo at 2.34 by Peter Tosh. It’s more than perfect. It’s somehow greater than flawless. Never heard a guitar played like that in any song since and this was 51 years ago in 1973, which was the year my mum was born. Love the vibe. Love the song. No big crowd. No fancy stadium. Just jamming together.....WOW. Thank you, Bob Marley & The Wailers, for a phenomenal piece of art

@@c.mandrews3290 Hi, this video is partly a playback as explained in this video... kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3mckIB9f794m7s It also points out that the solo is played on an organ with a wah pedal on the album... (The organist is english and played for The Who)... Peter Tosh is only mimicking the solo on his guitar for the video... The guitar fills are by Wayne Perkins, a rock guitar player...

The way he looked directly into the camera at 1:07 gives me chills. The lyrics he said coupled with him no longer being with us. It's almost like his spirit is telling us "everything's alright, don't cry for me"

@@MecConnect180 Old testament is just one origin story. Africans and other indigenous people around the world have their own creation origin stories too. Stop trying to fit us Africans into that paradigm. We have our own that we are proud of and find meaning and comfort in & is much more loving, inclusive and cruel & smiting, thanks.

This song brings me a pleasant feeling. I read somewhere that this Man and his Grandson were recorded by an outsider who somewhat had an input in the song going viral. People later on showed the older gentleman the video and explained how someone was profiting from it being viral. The Grandfather expressed his need for some of those proceedings, being poor with several children and grandchildren.
