So I followed your video/steps and I noticed when you got to the part where you said to take the 4th string from left and do backward knots onto the next two strings to the left that you actually picked up the 5th string instead of the 4th(4th=yellow+5th=purple) I thought maybe you just misspoke and so I did the 5th string. My bracelet was the blue ombre with black border like the one you showed at beginning... It still came out zigzag but because I did the 5th string instead of the 4th my left side border color black ended up next to each other instead of in between my blue colors. Gonna start a new one today though and follow it correctly can't wait to see how it comes out :) thanks for the video even if you messed up a bit I still find your videos easier to follow then anyone else. Thanks to you in just a couple months time I went from only knowing the spiral staircase pattern to learning more then I can count bracelet patterns and now I get to teach my daughters them all! So thank you!!

Ooohh noo!! I’ll have to watch the video back again!! Sometimes I will say the step wrong while doing it right and sometimes I just straight up say and do the step totally wrong 😔 but I’m really glad you were able to figure it out while following along, that’s really awesome to be able to do and I love that you can pass your knowledge down and keep the hobby alive!

How would you make this pattern with 12 strings? I’m really struggling
@Craftanatic4 жыл бұрын
You would have to do a few extra knots with each step but if you filter out 12 strings and search for ‘zigzag’ in the keywords on Braceletbook there are quite a few patterns with similar knotting structures!
@denean26553 жыл бұрын
When you messed up that the end there, I would’ve just made the whole video over again, cause I dont know what you mean when you said “when you do this right (LOL), you will make the bk/fk onto the 3rd color string” .. what string is the third color??
@denean26553 жыл бұрын
Is it the third coloured string from the left? Or your third color string?? I’m so confused
@Craftanatic3 жыл бұрын
I should just delete the video because I watched it back and even I don’t really remember how to explain it after watching myself mess up lol. So I recommend just following the Braceletbook pattern. I try to clarify small mistakes in editing so that I don’t have to re-film the whole video, especially depending on how complex the pattern is to teach, but I guess this one just didn’t work out.

Do we continue from the beginning ? Or is there a specific time stamp? And when I go back to the beginning my strings aren’t the same so I’m stuck.
@Craftanatic4 жыл бұрын
I mentioned at the end of the video that you still follow the same steps from the beginning, and your color order isn’t supposed to be back in the same spot because there is a good length of the design you have to knot until it repeats itself again.
@fxdedrxses97554 жыл бұрын
can you pls explain the different types of knots? Like the forward, backward, BF, FB?
@Craftanatic4 жыл бұрын
the-pastel-peach Here is a tutorial on how to make the four knots: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGe8o6F8j7CDgac I have personally learned the letters as: FK = forward knot; BK = backward knot; FK/BK = forward-backward knot; BK/FK = backward-forward knot.

You probably won’t see this but after your video how do we start again cus their not in the same order? Do we follow the steps?
@Craftanatic3 жыл бұрын
I mentioned it around the last minute of the video, but yes, you just follow the same steps from the beginning and do it over and over. Your color order won’t be back in the original position/repeat itself for very many rows-I also showed that. 🙂

so! the colors are not folded over. so the top is not a triangle ? we only need 1 each of the colors 35 to 40 inches , not 80 folded in half. can you make a triangle end making this kind of bracelet without folding over the strings?
@Craftanatic4 жыл бұрын
Nita Gassen Yeah, you can’t fold any of the strings because the pattern calls for 10 individual colors. So each string would be 35-40 inches. Yes, you can make a triangle end without having strings folded over (no teardrop loops or anything needed either).
@honkroo2 жыл бұрын
is it possible to do this pattern with 8 instead of 10? i’ve been trying to piece together how and i looked in the bracelet book but i can’t find what i’m looking for :(
@Craftanatic2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried it myself but I imagine it COULD be possible! I imagine you would follow the same knotting structure but you’d have to leave out a few steps in between to account for lesser strings. I recommend testing it on any scrap thread you have so it won’t be a pain to undo. :)
@skylermarie7362 жыл бұрын
Okay so how do we prep? Like what is the tie off for the beginning and the end so the string doesn’t come undone?
@Craftanatic2 жыл бұрын
There are many fancier ways to do starts and ends but you can also simply just tie an overhand knot before starting and ending the bracelet then make the ties. But even then you don’t have to do any of that and just make ties because the bracelet won’t come undone-it’s knotted.

what kind of loop do you recommend to begin the bracelet. i am fond of neat ends.
@Craftanatic4 жыл бұрын
Nita Gassen A loop unfortunately won’t work for this bracelet unless you do a technique Masha Knots made a video on called “making a loop with odd numbers of thread” but I find it to be too tedious just for a loop. I’d rather just make ties on both ends for this bracelet.
@TomeRodrigo4 жыл бұрын
