Terri Lyne Carrington has been one of my favorites, since the early 90's.

I love the way these two women play. They dont need to sound like any men because they transcend gender when playing. As an example of that, there´s this story...Many years ago I had the chance to listen to a CD of Gary Thomas named Till we have Faces. I became crazy with the drummer on that album and some time later, when the Internet appeared in my life, I searched for that album and found the drummer was not a man, but Terri Lyne. Since then I became a great fan of hers. Many years later I saw Nikkie Glaspie groovin´on a DVD named Gospel Chops, I think. Incredible drumming!!!! Love ´em both!!!!! Thanks for your inspiration!!!

You look and sound great, Terri!. I was a drummer in a Metal band back in the day (still playin drums) when Arcenio was on, and I was a big fan. In fact, lots of my friends were big fans of the show and really dug you. Like you said, there were not a lot of female drummers and it was refreshing and cool to see you rippin away back there. Nice to see you again!. I don't know if you have a KZbin channel, but if not, you should create one
