Man... the beautiful tease with the gently built up drum roll to go back into the "verse" the 2nd time... gorgeous and ends up being a total gotcha bc what comes next is precision timing and perfection especially where he hits that ride that just cuts through beautifully. Fills that still have space, he plays with the syncopation... and when you think hes done, theres a whole 'nother bag he goes in! I was reading in the xomments that he passed. I dont know how but this hurts. What a gift it was today to hear this... inckuding the entire band and the guitar/bass riff interlude I wasnt expecting but as a guitarist gave me immediate stank face. Thank you Aaron. You remain alive to bring joy to those who watch and listen to you play still. Love seeing the smile on your face as you play as well ❤

Aaron Spears is one of my favourites, and he usually has impeccable time, but this composition was awkward and horribly out of time in my opinion. It didn’t work on any level for me.

javan miller put a metronome against the offbeat portion and when the band goes in and out of choruses If you the band is in time you need help.
@buddyrichable15 жыл бұрын
Miguel McKenzie Jr People were clapping, what reaction are you talking about. I said the piece was awkward, and I’m not blaming Aaron you could see he was trying to hold it together but it was still out of time.
@miguelm66875 жыл бұрын
No you need help. There is a metronome clap throughout the shuffle and it’s spot on. A slight rush in the first offbeat section then It sets back in. It’s not his strongest performance but solid nevertheless
