17:00 thanks for mentioning it. I'm a Zilean support main, not nearly Master or Challenger, and I have such a hard time landing bombs, sometimes. It was maddening to see you landing them so consistently, I was crazy jealous.

I still miss the days of watching Bjergsen pilot Zilean to godlike performances in LCS. The biggest takeaway for me was how hard it is to use your ult at the perfect time in the middle of hectic teamfights. Definitely a champ with a crazy amount of utility AND damage in the endgame

23:51 he mentions zil ap ratio, but soemthing ive always found fascinating is how the base damage scales. Its one of the few abilities in the game that doesnt scale linearly. It goes 75-115-165-230-300. Also pekin is giving his Volibear 1 Armor by being near him, love those interactions

I feel like the most underrated item on Zil is Nashor’s tooth. Zils ability to zoom around the map split pushing towers while being uncatchable is god tier. I’ve turned many games with that item.

Zilean is legit the only champion I consider 100% overpowered. Yone and stuff can be on the strong side but they just have annoying kits, but every Zilean ability is bonkers. I'm glad nobody plays him. Also nice shirt, suits you well

it's no longer overpowered imo. Q is hard as fuck to hit without E and cooldown changes suck for zilean since it's harder to build cd. if you hit no bombs it's hard to get damage off

For engage I tend to do E(speed) Q W Q E(slow) - Don't know why I've never thought to finish with E before Q to ensure the 2nd bomb lands if 1st landed

They will never make Zilean Q 100% AP because they are afraid of Zilean becoming meta. Zilean is actually one of the strongest champs in league people just don't like to play him, and Riot wants it to stay that way.

You could play Voli top! I've been perma banning it cos it keeps destroying my games, though I'm way lower elo than you, just reached plat. It seems like a pretty good solo Q champ, tho. First item Rod of Ages, then Naavori, then you go tank.

Watching the play at 12 minutes when he comes back to lane. There has to be some 10-20% of winrate attributed to people just going afk against you if you play this correctly.
