Social media and international news lie about zimbabwe.
@TheMegabushFamily10 ай бұрын
A lot of the things actually aren’t blatant lies (“sensationalized” yes) Zimbabwe does have a LOT of problems, some so complex and deep rooted…our videos are not an attempt to discredit this reality. However, international media has an over-abundance of the negatives in Africa, to such an extent that many people who have never been to Zimbabwe (or Africa as a whole) believe it’s far worse than it actually is 😅 (eg. no African has access to modern convenience/amenities) they consequently have lots of PITY, but little RESPECT for people who live in these countries. The first step to salvaging some respect is to not just portray our suffering, but also portray what’s respectable, desirable and positive about our people and countries. So this channel is here not to discredit the negative experiences of Zimbabweans/ Africans, but to BALANCE the “international narrative” of AFRICA. Bless! 🇿🇼

As an African who happen to be born and raised in Jamaica I always have this desire to visit the land of my ancestors. As a result I had big plans of visiting Zambia until covid changed everything. When thing started returning to normal I ended up going to England to visit my brother instead. The urge to visit the mother land is ever stronger now that you are highlighting it. I'm greatful that you showed us the real Zimbabwe bc the dishonest western media gave a total difference impression of beautiful country. I'm now going to put it on my travel bucket list. Respect everytime sistren.

14:48 Here's a fun bit of history: In the 1990s, KFC opened on Jason Moyo Ave in the city centre, but didn't last long because of the Chicken Inn dominance had and Nandos was expanding at the time. In those days people weren't keen on the deep fried style chicken.

Zimbabwe is a great and beautiful country with nice people. We're planning to relocate to Zimbabwe. We've heard wonderful things about Zimbabwe's schools, including recently in the Science Fair: The Series (2023) on Disney Plus. Zimbabwean school kids are really bright, motivated, and ambitious. Their ambition is matched by their talent. We hope you'll find the time to do a video sharing information about the education culture in Zimbabwe, some of the best schools in the city of Harare or other parts of the country, and attitudes to learning among Zimbabwean children.

We hope those who mentioned South Africa didn’t want or mean to “trash” South Africa, and was their attempt to make a regional comparison on level of safety. But we do get your point. @TheMegabushFamilyАй бұрын
😅 a Jamaicans accent when speaking English depends on many things including schools you went to, home background, where in the world you’ve lived since…etc For me, after finishing uni, I left Jamaica for China for a number of years and Chinese can’t clearly hear English spoken in the “typical Jamaican accent” you’re referring to, so over time being in that environment selected for a non-specific standard English accent rather than a “typical”Jamaican one…you’ll hear more of the accent you’re expecting when I’m speaking in Patwa😁 We have a few videos where I do speak in patois/patwa

Those guys are just ignorant of plight of others that's all. FFS Zimbabwe doesn't even cater for its rural area people. It's amusing to see that South Africa lives rent free in their head. The main obsession in Zimbabwe it's to have cash. In any case there's nothing in that place called Harare.
