Man, I remember when I started doing Black Metal vocals, I fucking sucked, mostly because my voice has always been naturally deep and before that I only had experience doing Death Metal vocals. What I did to improve my shrieks was just changing my vocal shapes from the more closed and small death vocals, to a more open and wider shape, and instead of doing the regular "UHHHHHHHHHH", "OOOOUUUHHHHH", I started saying things like "EEEEEEEEEEEEHHH" and "AAAAAAHHHH" (if you put the tip of your tongue againsts your lower teeth you can make even higher and louder sounds too), I also started doing pig squeals at that time. I've been singing Black Metal vocals for like almost six years now, so my advice for them would be... spamming the E, basicalñy, the E is the key, Grindcore pig squeals helped me too. The only bad thing about my high vocals is that I always sound loud as fuck, I can't control the volume of my voice as much as I can with Death Metal vocals, lol. Also, I learned to do harsh vocals at a time where I had the house all for myself for most of the time, so I practiced like an hour every day. Also 2, I fucking love ur CN shirt, watching Billy and Mandy and Courage the coward dog as a kid was the shit, they also had some cool animes like Samurai X and Hunter x Hunter back then, so nostalgic.

Thanks to you four years of vocal training has helped greatly, however there are no forests around these parts in the state of Texas, but I have to ask should I also stay hydrated if I want to perform vocals correctly because I feel being dehydrated has kind of made me hit a brick wall sometimes, when it comes to vocals, appreciate the content man giving me laughs and learning to perform better with my voice..

I'd like to have shrieking/fry vox like Portrayal of Guilt/Minenwerfer but it feels so much easier for me to do Cannibal Corpse lows. It's also mostly easy to do kvlty evil sounding vocals like say Watain or the like where you sound like a villain, but I'm struggling to constantly maintain the shriek/fry style without my throat feeling dried/thinned out, if that makes sense. The shrieks eventually sound more like Watain style after some time, so how can I keep up with the highs? Or am I just suited towards lows and kvlt, like how someone is either a tenor or bass singer. I'd really like to be able to do all three, the most unnatural/less consistent style being the fry, whereas lows and kvlt come easy.

I Already learned in an older video of yours, that, when it comes to bm vocals, it is more like not giving a fuck. It hurts, don't give a fuck, pain goes away, the sick recording stays. Your neighbor sends a letter from a lawyer because it is to loud, don't give a fuck, the sick recording stays (the neighbore lost the case btw). i don't give a fck in my block. i moved in here like 3-4 years ago. i have pretty much ONLY loud neighbours. but it never bothered me tbh. plus bcuz of that, i can scream every day. i did it even today on holy sunday in germany. no1 came to my door to complain. i like my home :D p.s. thats probably, why i got so good so fast. i am 28 y/o. former drummer for 10+ years. multiple bands. never on stage, but some of the music was really good. started to practice screaming for the first time in my life. practised it for 2 months straight. pretty much everyday. sometimes 1hour+. sometimes only 10-20 min. now i feel good enough already, to be on stage with my vocals. black metal screams are tbh my easiest tequnique. i've learned a lot guttural (TAIM CJ Style). but its still not as good as my black metal screams. and theses screams i only practised for like 7+ days. i guess every voice is different 🤷‍♂
