It's a bit hard to witness such a talent..makes hard mind to comprehend all what the eyes see while mind is blown away. . There's huge talents all over the world but when things go even further, it feels unnatural, like magic. This is one of them. What a blessing you have being born with.

I really find very useful to see how to start from scratch, drawing with your brush and seeing the features of The Poet stroke after stroke are instants of wonder. Plus, you paint with both of your hands! I had to rewind two times, because I thought I was right but the speed made me doubt, then, I saw your left thumb holding the brush, and immediately two brushes. You are magnificent. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Seriously? This guy is doing just fine on how he approaches his portraits. Really, he has done a superb portrait in 130 min. The application, colours and values are spot on. He is painting alla prima and laying on too much darks in the back would only serve to muddy those delicate skin tones I would assume. Great painting.

I guess that the key to painting so well is to spend only a very limited amount of time on one small area at a time, therefore allowing the paint to dry a little? Otherwise the paint would just mix and become a a muddy mess. I must say that I really love the Zimou Tan uploads and have just completed my first reasonable portrait using the style shown here by this very talented artist. Love your work, thanks for posting...

Thanks for sharing your work! You can tell you're a talented painter, because at every stage you could have stopped and it would have looked great. Did you ever have trouble finding where to stop? Sometimes I appreciate the looseness of an early stage of a work, and get stuck if I should continue to refine or not.
