If one studies ayurveda they'll come to know the metallurgy knowledge we have. We have a lot of ways including purification of mercury, sulfur, phosphorus etc that can be used as medicines. Heck we also have knowledge in making pure gold from mercury or silver. Purified mercury is a fuel which can be used in multiple ways for modern technology. But always connected to righteousness and betterment of people.
