This hanging bridge was first built by Tutheze village under kiphire district for so many years the only village was connected by that bridge now it is connected the entire Pungro sub-division. By God's grace pakka bridge was completed now waiting for ribon cutting. Way to my native village Pungro beautiful & scary bridge that connects all hearts. Thanks to the video uploader🙏🙏🙏

It is the responsibility of their concern local MLA to propose the said bridge to the Central government through the state government under Ministry of Road & Transport Govt. Of India. I wonder what were their past MLA's doing all those year's 🤦. This is so pathetic condition. It's not the fault of the CM or anyone else but we all have our public leader called our local MLA who is responsible for entire development in the area elected by the constituency people. Shame to the past local MLA's since we can't blame the new MLA as he is new, but the constituency people should suggest him to construct at the earliest through the help of the Central government as the state is not in position to sanction hundreds of crores in 1 single project.

Exciting to know this. We too had such kind of bridge leading to our village way back in late 80s. I think government of the day should look into the matter. This kind of bridge are risky as well.

pungro sounds so familiar coz my uncle (mothers younger brother) was born in pungro back in the 60s but back in the days was not reachable by cars you have to carry on your back and still today mom have lots to say about pungro village.lots of love from Mizoram

This bridge lies hanging till today...the other side it is builded with iron but the horrible road conditions in monsoons its unsafe to travel both sides of the roads🤧

It was very exciting passing through this Bridge in April, 2003. It still remains vivid and sweet in my mind. We can still use it by strengthening it with stronger Steel wires to let it stay as a memorable bridge

This bridge is under Longmatra sub division which connect Tutheze village. Which is also used as an alternate way to connect Pungro sub division. So if one is visiting Pungro use the Government designated road and not this..

If it is the only life line of the village wish the community come together and atleast from the VDB fund or from concern minister to repair with good quality wood and proper planks and stronger string for time being until bridge is made. With the New MLA hope the Pungro n khongsa areas can have some development this time. First- Road n bridges top priority 2nd- Medical 3rd- Education All the community should sacrifice your personal interest n for once try to focus in this area otherwise the younger generation will have to go through the same hardship like u. Agriculture produc in this area test better thn most of the other districts but because of the high cost of transportation due to bad road conditions the produce hardly reaches the market. Saramati the 6th highest mountain in India is also in this area n many more potential location for tourism but cos of road condition only few hardcor tourist comes to visit. With Rs10 you get only 5 to 6 pic of happydent chewing gum in this area. Why? Because of pathetic road conditions leading to high transportation cost. 1LP truck charge 70 to 80k from Dimapur to Pungro. With the same amount of money you can send one LP truck of goods to Bangalore.
