Years later I got Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii and really fell in love with it. I mained Switch Axe, then the longsword. I then went back and played Freedom Unite, and the rest is history.

Seregios weapons were cool. I hope Sunbreak brings with it some more unique mechanics for the weapons like the roll to sharpen...maybe even Seregios itself...?

A lot of flagship monsters have gimmicks to their weapons and armor. For example, when Brachydios was introduced, it's weapons were the only ones with slimeblight (now blast). Chaotic Gore weapons had negative affinity that changed into positive affinity when you overcame the frenzy virus. Valstrax has weapons with only red and white sharpness. Rise already has a system for unique effects, rampage skills. You can give Chameleos weapons the ability to steal spiribird buffs. There's a Dual Blades that will always crit in Demon Mode. So they have the system in place for weapon gimmicks, they just need to do more with it.

@@JustSomeHeeHo Yeah the problem that is closely tied with it, is balancing basically. A hunter will never turn off from using a weapon that is going to out perform a gimmicky weapon by a mile, despite the fact that we all desire fashion and uniqueness over meta, the problem is that the meta weapons are usually too good to not use. It can easily be solved by giving the rest of the weapon tree almost similar raw and element or sharpness at the final upgrades so that many weapons can be viable in endgame builds. Otherwise these gimmicky weapons will always be used in meme runs only or in a very specific scenario. I realize that is just a "me problem". But it would be great if there wasn't just one weapon with the best stats/sharpness when we have the massive weapon tree full of good looking weapons with interesting rampage skills that are held back by either green sharpness, negative affinity, raw and element.

Honestly, Sunbreak can't come soon enough. With finals around the corner and summer vacation just on the horizon, I wanna settle down and HUNT. Unfortunately I don't have a time machine to make that happen, so I'll settle with watching whatever you post (Elden Ring, Monster Hunter, whatever you make I will take). I don't suppose you'd consider playing and posting videos of Hollow Knight, would you? Super interesting game, affordable even for college people, and the gameplay is nice. You don't have to, this is just an idea or suggestion for a video. (Also, when I said that I'll settle with watching whatever you post I did not mean to sound demeaning or as if your content is boring, I am genuinely amused by your videos and impressed by the god shackled in feline form that is Ted.)
