Im so grateful, you posted these tutorials. I use blender and I did not want to use subtance painter, I wanted everything done in blender. I realized having substance painter in my pipleline it would be great. The problem was courses to learn substance are too expensive, then I came across this channel. This is great keep up the work, I quickly subscribed as well. This should be paid for but you gave it to us free of charge. This is truly high quality content.

while importing images, should we import the same image in PNG format and also ALPHA format? and it would be great if you show how these png and alpha images are created. thank you

Its not necessary to import alphas of the same image, it is only required if you want to use them as stamps in paint brush or stencil.

you can create a copy before importing if you need a backup or original mesh.

When we add resources from outside to the painter, then those resources have to be baked or they will automatically be applied to the model.?

It’s better to bake them, so that the painter can easily paint over those resources.

yes I created them in Photoshop and also created their alphas, then all of them I imported them in Substance Painter as textures and alphas

you need to import resources, then you can filter the way you want, in the newer version the shelf is replaced with ASSET panel.
