@@Ziostorm the high implication is that the greater will is one of many “gods” who may or may not inhabit space in some form. From the Fell fire god, astel, Mogh’s “formless mother”, and the gloam eyed queen it’s safe to say there are many deities who inhabit this universe and their will can seemingly be imposed for their own “greater will” if they choose to do so, it just seems like this golden order wanted it more than the others. And head cannons have taken shots at Radahn possibly holding back the “stars” for the greater will to prevent another god of their level from invading. And Ranni’s ending being an invitation for them in a way. And I wouldn’t consider this greater will to be some all powerful primordial power when they had to enact a crusade level war in order to establish their rule in the lands. And even enact a truce in a way with the house of Raya Lucaria and marrying Radagon with Rennala.
@Balteus12 жыл бұрын
@@Ziostorm The prehistoric age refers to the time before the golden order, the term elden lord does not belong solely to those who are lord consort to the one who bears the elden ring, after all Marika was not the first god however she was simply the god who bore the elden ring. a great example is elden lord Placidusax who together with his dragon god ruled over that prehistoric age before the arrival with the elden beast, we also know this dragon god did not bear the elden ring since Marika fought against the dragons while it was within her body, we also know this because the order of the erd tree rejects almost everything not completely human to the point that beings like demihumans and misbegotten are outcast and are deemed monsters and hunted or enslaved by the direction of this will, other races and Ideologies that predated Marika and the elden rings rule were put to the sword and torch, the astrologers who predated the sorcerers lived atop the mountain top of the giants to the north to be closer to the stars, predated the sorcerers, the academy already existed by the time Marika came into power. while the elden best may be designed after something we can not assume that it was the greater will that created all stars, as the order of the start is completely different than the order created personally by the greater will, and we also know that there was a great tree before the erd tree which is why we have the crucible knights who otherwise would have been deemed heretics and executed so there were even orders of knights predating the elden ring, my best speculation (yes ill admit whats next is speculation) is this the previous ages were "prehistoric" simply because they were pre golden history and were therefor erased end of speculation, farum azula existed long before and clearly had histories written as they had written religion and technologies and magic to remove their kingdom from time, we dont go back in time to face Placidusax we go outside of time, we know this because it says that his arena exists within the storm outside of time which also probably means he's still technically alive if we take that outside of time bit literally AND THAT WOULD BE AWESOME FOR A DRAGON DLC anyways I think im sort of rambling from my original point of the greater will didnt create all of the stars, especially since the greater will is associated with gold thats why it sent a "golden star to the lands between" not the cold blue stars that Radahn held back or Ranni seeks to bring into a new order to replace the old a golden star to impose the greater wills well... will upon the lands between.... sorry for the thesis, I've been delving into everything I can find to form my theories and confirm what I may know or prove myself wrong, if anyone can please correct any inaccuracies I'd appreciate it, we're all learning together!

As far as the Falling Star Beasts.... Look at the life cycle of the antlion. It's nearly identical. I like to think that the full-grown falling star beast is only full-grown in that portion of its life cycle. It can then turn into something like Astel when its life cycle is truly complete. Which makes sense considering that Astel isn't the only boss with that form.

It's weird that people think they aren't connected because of the "fully-grown" part but a fully-grown caterpillar makes sense to them.
@Evocatorum2 жыл бұрын
@@pebrockk agreed. It could also be that in the sense of the surface occurrences for the Beasts, they're fully grown in the sense that they won't grow further and in order to reach their full maturity/potential, the meteor that they spawned from needed to reach the subterranean region. Notice that the ones occurring underground are developed in to the direction of Astel and not that of some kind of bull. The only occurrences of subterranean fallingstar beasts being underground, but still like the surface style are those in cave bossfights. It's not entirely clear on how those fights might fit in to the lore or even if they do, but if ignore those, the lifecycle seems to be dependent upon the depth of the initial impact crater. There's also the tie-in to Ranni in that to get to the Moonlight Altar, Astel must first be defeated. I haven't pondered the significance just yet, but given the Ranni/Vishna correlation, there's sure to be one, lore-wise.

The cut content found by Sekiro Dubi has some implications for caelid and Radahn. The finger maiden refers to Radahn as the giant slayer. I believe Marika is the Gloam Eyed/Dusk Eyed Queen. It really makes us work for it though. Look at Marika at the end, red and black spear impaling her, imprisoned. Defeated. Who did that? Who uses red and black Rune of Death power? Well, Maliketh. Ranni tells us that chosen Empyreans have a shadow assigned to them which protects them, but also is able to and directed to destroy their Empyrean host if they go against the Greater Will. How does she know this? She saw it happen to Marika and Maliketh. When he defeated the Gloam Eyed Queen. Who is simply another name for Marika, hinting at her past as a Numen and denizen of the Eternal City. The Black Knife assassins are also from here. The Age of the Duskborn ending sees Godwyn as the Prince of Death rise to new ascendancy and it is said by Fia he will be reborn anew. I believe the Duskborn ending is Godwyn's ending. I believe the "Duskborn" is Godwyn himself. He is the Prince of Death. Born of someone aligned with Death and "Dusk" indeed. His mother is Marika. The Dusk Eyed Queen. Godwyn, a Prince. Marika, his mother, the Queen. The Beast Eye you get from Maliketh/Gurranq is purple/gloamy. We never see Marika's eyes. Or the left side of her generally. I believe it's her eye. Now who else has purple eyes we see, ever? Melina. Who is Melina? The daughter of Marika. Traits are often passed down in Elden Ring from parent to child, no? I bet Marika has gloamy purple eyes. Well, one left now. What does Melina talk about? Destined Death which is just the Rune of Death really. And flame. Sounds like black flame to me. Tied to the Godskins. What shape does Marika hang in? The shape of the Rune of Death. The Godskins served it, long ago. Marika was once made an Empyrean specifically because she was so powerful already in the world before the Erdtree. The host must be very powerful after all. Hewg is praying to himself, to Marika about her wish to create a Godslaying weapon. To kill a God. The Elden Beast. Who else made and knew of Godslaying weapons and arts? Well, the Godskins and their black flame. Flame and Death. With Maliketh keeping watch of the main part of the Rune of Death, and with the other half impaled in the Dusk Eyed Queen, pinning her to the Erdtree, defeated but not slain as per the item description, she needed another way to slay a God. That's Hewg's task given by her. It's worth noting that Fia, Deathbed Companion has a similar black robe we see Marika wearing, and we see the tattered remnants of her black garb when we find her in the Erdtree as well. There's a statue of Marika holding the twins Malenia and Miquella in the Haligtree region, she is hooded there like Fia. To me this just further ties her to aspects of Destined Death and proves she is the DEQ/GEQ. To expand a bit more, she used Maliketh like a safe for a powerful gun. She wielded the Rune of Death, or Destined Death by a different name and she hangs in its shape. She became disillusioned with the Greater Will and worked in secret with her Numen homeland to create the Fingerslayer Blade, prompting Astel to level it, sent by TGW, and causing Maliketh to have to imprison Marika and spike her with half of the Death Rune, leaving her defeated but alive. Because she is still the most powerful vessel, still a God. Marika was acting against the Greater Will in various ways for a long time, with far reaching plots. A Shadowbound has to intervene when this happens, and Maliketh was forced to do this and remained ever confused and conflicted, like when we see him or defeat him, he is still wondering why Marika lied to or tricked him. Remember in the item description it states very keenly that her sole need of him was to seal Destined Death (Death Rune which she wielded)... and even then, betrayed him.

This is interesting. Though i don't think everything adds up if Marika was the Gloam Eyed Queen. For one her history and actions are well documented, and Melina narrates them to you in various locations. This means Marika would have had to be the Gloam Eyed Queen in secret. Also if Marika so openly rebelled against the greater will even before she shattered the Elden Ring, and was even stopped by Maliketh, why is she still the greater Will's puppet? It's implied that the Will only realised it could leave Marika after she shattered the ring. Also how is Marika even alive? If Maliketh impaled her with Destined Death, she should be well and truly dead. My interpretation of why her symbol resembles the rune if death is because she's the one that removed Death from the Lands Between, and is known and admired for it. She is the Eternal after all. And here's a bold one: Marika might not even be Melina's mother. Melina keeps mentioning her mother, but whenever she talks about Marika she calls her "Queen Marika". I don't think they're the same person. I'm not at all certain about this one though. Just something to consider.
@cwill142 жыл бұрын
@@arcanefire7511 Right, I think for whatever reason she is suspended there impaled with the spike section of the Rune of Death, and it has two halves. The Rune Arc looking half drops from Maliketh after he is slain. So maybe she is kept half alive essentially and who knows, being that she was able to wield and manipulate the Rune of Death and have Maliketh keep it sealed for her, maybe it just doesn't affect her the same. She had to have been quite powerful before even, to be chosen as Empyrean.

(SPOILERS BELOW) what i do find interesting though, is the possible connection between psadaisduiuiasuidsad and Marika/Radagon. both seem to have hosted an elden ring at one point or another, as we can see from the ancient elden ring symbol in Malekith's chamber, and the fact that they both share the "two become one" phenomenon. whereas Marika and Radagon are one and the same with interchangable personalities, Psadorasdhuhausdbsjnjd simply has 2 heads. my theory is that Marika learned how to merge with another being by studying this ancient dragon or the elden ring runes in its lair (which Malekith now occupies) and that's how she learned how to merge with Radagon. anyway, hope to see more videos soon. one can never learn too much about Elden Ring :)

Honestly I'm not so convinced about the skeleton of Placidusax, firstly, it doesn't look like Placidusax apart from the horns you mentioned, which could easily be a common look or just a repeated render of the dragons there, and secondly, Placidusax is enshrouded by a sort of time vortex, so he easily, and probably, never died to begin with until you came along.

I doubt that dead dragon in the beginning is Placidusax if it was then we'd see evidence of more heads, plus until we kill him Placidusax is basically said to be in a place beyond time so how could he die before we get to him when he's frozen in a place where time doesn't advance? That one makes literally no sense when presented with his looks plus his lore.

There’s another Falling Star Beast in a crater outside the wall of Leyndell, to the West of the gates. Also, I think people are wrongfully assuming that Ranni is connected to Melina and an outer god. She is clearly influenced and likely aligned with an outer god, but the connection to Melina and the Gloam Eyed Queen is from Renna, who the doll is meant to look like. Renna is the one people should be looking for info on, instead of assuming the connection is to Ranni.

I haven't seen a lot of people talk about the origin of madness and possibly the 3 fingers, maybe bc it's too obvious: at all sites that are influcted with madness you see the Eye of Yelough plants grow (also seen in their description) and once you get to the consecrated snowfield, you find the Yelough anix ruins where there are everywhere, together with madness inflicted enemies. Right behind them is the tunnel and right in the middle of the boss arena, imbedded in ice, is a giant rock with the telltale signs of frenzyflame stones. This might be the origin from where the whole thing spread into the lands between. (And maybe where the 3 fingers originated, since it seems like they were relocated to under the capital) Edit: I'm saying the big stone might be a meteor

For the fallingstar beasts and astels, I assume that this is their natural lifecycle. The fallingstar beasts seem adept at digging, so I suppose they dig into the earth and slowly transform into the pupa states we find hanging from the ceiling. Most probably, when they reach maturity they explode, which would explain the huge underground arenas we find them in and would be keeping with the theme of them being "malformed stars".

I made a video about the Trolls and Giants 9 days ago, part of it talking about just that. Also something ive not seen anyone else mention that i put in my last video, Phillia at the Apostate Derelict has fully modeled eyeballs and inner mouth, which tells me she has more of a role to play, as some characters like Blaidd, have no eyeball models inside, and even ranni doesnt have one behind her closed eye, so why put them behind the closed eyes of Phillia? Also how is a sleeping giant albinauric supposed to create life? unless....
@Ziostorm2 жыл бұрын
I think all models that are built off the same as the player character have eyes and mouths. In the CNT there was a glitch when passing through fog walls that showed the eyes and mouth clipped through the character
@D3DJigsaw2 жыл бұрын
@@Ziostorm that could very well be the case, something else interesting though is she is the only model I have found with the eyes facing inwards, the irises being on the backside of the eye, seemingly purposely done. Where all the other characters have no detail to the backside of the eyeballs, just empty circles, even the player character in the glitch you mentioned. Could be nothing but so much has already been found I'm looking at every minor detail for anything that seems off or different. Such as that Latenna questline, at the end she says "take the birthing droplet and create life". The birthing droplet could be seen as a larval tear, which we know is used alongside a great rune for rebirth. In order to create life one could assume that Phillia would need a great rune to pair with the birthing droplet, such as one we haven't seen yet..the Great Rune of Abundance. Now suppose Phillia, is St Trina. We find the most "Trinas Lillies" at that area, St Trina is associated with silver, as well as the albinaurics, and the Giant Crabs at the Albinauric Village inflict sleep, which is something St Trina is known for. The albinaurics have withering legs, that could be seen as "decaying" legs. What if Miquella splitting into a female version, caused a curse of another type. Instead of eternal youth, St Trinas legs age quickly and become useless. A type of rot, passed on to the albinaurics. Could it be that Miquella split into St Trina, creating the albinaurics as a way of looking for a cure to Malenias rot? I guess I'm more thinking out loud here but I always wanna see if someone has noticed something I haven't. I love lore and writing, and sometimes I overlook obvious details searching for extraordinary ones. Sorry for the long comment lol; I appreciate that you took the time to reply.

For the trolls: If you notice in them, not only is the stomach gouged out, but there is a tombstone in the cavity attached by roots that turn into flesh. This is a pretty big mystery to me. Tombstones play a few roles in the game that I've noticed. Another example of tombstone use is in the Rennala fight, when she kind of reabsorbs some of her spawn to become tombstones and then flings them at you. There's some dialog about becoming a tombstone. But I think that a tombstone is a literal physical manifestation of soul, kind of like ashes, but more stable. And my theory for the trolls is that basically the dead giants essence is kind of drawn into the land. In the mountaintops of the giants, you can see giant wooden spears have pierced them. This then would concentrate and manifest as tombstones (everything essential in the game kind of has a tendency to concentrate, magic or intelligence as glintstone, death as deathroot, etc. Tombstones are kind of the natural concentration of spirit energy. Then the erdtree reaches them and basically manifests a new being by infusing the tombstone with life and essentially grows a body from its own roots. It could even be the haligtree rather than the erdtree. I don't know the age that the trolls were introduced. As the Haligtree would also infuse them with the blood of Miquella

How is that Placidusax? That's two dragons that look to be separated with one head each, while Placi has two heads on one body. Just because they have a missing horn doesn't that has to be the one big big, it could just be another dragon missing its horn. It's a fossil, it could've broke from any number of things. The tornado in the center, the crumbling, the fact that it's a fossil and buried could also lead to a broken horn. Two separate dragons with one missing one of it's horns doesn't equal Placidusax After watching, this video comes off as misinformation.
