they call it Fforest because in welsh two 'f's next to each other make a ' f ' sound. A 'f' on it's own makes a 'v' sound. it would be a bit weird if people said vorest. useless information presented by me.

@ozzyferrari80777 жыл бұрын
Coasterfan3657 isn't that why these have lift hills and parts of the track supported, the towers could easily build one of these in the terrain going through gloomy wood and possibly into the gardens with a seep drop!
@lewis30627 жыл бұрын
OZZY Ferrari it will have to be very long with the amount of people in the park. The queue times would be too long all day depending on the length of track / amount of trains. Still a great idea though !

What you said at 19:28 and the following minute or two is completely correct. If you want to reduce the amount of trimming on the ride, a good technique that I was told by one of the ride ops was to put down your brakes for a split second just before entering a turn and it prevents the ride from automatically trimming while going through the turns, thus speeds the overall ride up and it worked a treat! :D

This place is amazing !!!! We've just done a 600 mile road trip for our sons 18th birthday 🎉 Alton towers (inc Harry photo👍🏼) 2 days , down John nikes ski centre for tubing and taboggan thanks to your vid, down to Thorpe park for 2 days and nights in the shark . 225 miles up to zip world for titan zip wires then bounce below . Then passed here by accident so turned round round and gave it a try we all loved it , awesome week ( I didn't see the brake signs till my third go , 🤓we only had 5 cars on this Tuesday so it was great 🎢👍🏼

The alpine coaster you rode there is one of the "new generation alpine coasters" which are build by the german manufacturer Wiegand. All of their new models unfortunately have magnetic brakes all over the whole track (you can see it in the pov's, the silver thing in the middle of the track) which is totally rubbish at all. Shawn you've to ride their older ones in southern germany or austria. They haven't any magnetic brakes at all and are very very long and fast. The one in this video doesn't have any feeling of the original ones for sure.
@o123Michi321o7 жыл бұрын
parkfreak96 I do see why they do it this way now though, its mental how dangerous it can be going full speed down one and having someone basically standing there.
@BocksBob7 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right. I have put more videos of Alpine Coasters on my channel and only one of those has that magnetic braking (that was the very first one build that way because Wiegand was a partner in that location), I believe all new Alpine Coasters from Wiegand will always have this system and it is not unlikely that older models will get refitted. They used to control the maxium speed by use of a flywheelsystem connected to the leftbackwheel of the sled, this system costs more maintenance then the newmagnetsystem. But I sincerly hope that older model won't get upgraded to this magnetsystem takes all the fun out of riding.

I really want to go and ride some of the older ones!

Have you ever visited or experienced or visited any attractions in around the Medway area? There's a toboggan run in Chatham near Capstone Park. Its not that long, but its a credit, think there is a another credit there aswell with circle dingy things? Got Diggerland in Medway aswell. Could do those two for this channel and aswell there are lot of attractions in Medway you could do for Sambrooke Adventures? Involving Chatham Historic Dockyard which offers various tours including Call The Midwife, you also have Rochester Castle which could be maybe worth a vlog? Museums around Rochester, Upnor Castle a friend recommends, never been. But its on my list to visit. There are a lot of things to do, there is also a steam railway in Sittingbourne called the SKLR / Sittingbourne, Kemsley Light Railway that is worth a visit. Unique type of narrow gauge railway that once transported paper. Really good places to visit in Kent. But anyways, cheers, really did enjoy and now going to watch another video. 😀👍

Did this in August, it's absolutely insane in the wet, and they only run half the cars to get bigger spaces, also confirmed by a staff member, little braking before the corner doesn't trigger the autobrake

If you like Alpine Coasters and you are traveling through Germany in September then try planning a few " en route" or better yet drive from Rust ( the little village that is mostly occupied by Europapark) to the Schwarzwald ( Black Forrest, which btw is *not* scary as it is made out to be in Busch Gardens) , there you have a Alpine Coaster of 2,8 km long in the village Todtnau.. from Freiburg to Todtnau you can visit a park named Steinwasenpark whoch also holds an Alpine Coaster aswell a double "sommerrodelbahn" just look it up. I am starting my own Channel here now and a onride of the 2,8 km Alpine coaster will come there in the near future
