Unless its changed recently, the turtles would only swim to the beach in the morning and evening. I actually built a base on that beach awhile back so I used to see them all the time but only at certain times. Maybe you can convince Endnight to add a feature that would allow you to remove one end of a zipline and re-attach it somewhere else without having to tear the entire line down. That would be incredibly useful.

10:35 If the crafted torch is the item in your hand you don't get cold. If you then pull out a different item you still get the effect of warmth. The game remembers the last item you where holding for a few minutes and you just so happen to get the torch's warming effect as a result.

farket don't place everything you have go one by one i swear it goes so much faster. eg: at the end of the video at 24:40 put 2 stones on the zip, pick two from holders, send 2, take 2, send 2, take 2. hope it helps

As someone who lives in sweden, I honestly do agree with Farket, its more nice in the summer then winter, especially where I live. As a lot of times its gets more dangerous to walk outside in the winter then what it is driving.. for example, last year it was so icy all over the walk ways that it was Really easy to slip and hurt yourself, it got to the point that walking on the walk way was more dangerous then walking on the side of the road. Personally I prefer fall or autumn.

3:30 in my current game a pack of turtles live down the beach from the heli crash spawn, if youre looking inland its to your right, so counter clockwise around the island. they arent very far, maybe like 100m just past all the little rocks on the ground

You could put tarps at the entrances/exits of your zip lines. They would protect your falls.

Best place I've found for turtles is at the spot where the game ends with all the golf carts! I consistently find like 5 or so turtles there and have a zip line route that goes from my base all the way there

When you go back in winter, the camp with nothing at it. Walk up the hill (away from the cave), the rest of the camp is there an it does have some goodies

As someone who is building a zipline network around the entire perimeter of the island, there is a spot along the northwest side that you have to actually go into the forest, over a cliff and then follow the road until you can get back which is around the northwest corner of the map. I have found building in the forest takes A LONG time to do just due to having to find the logs you cut since the forest hides them really well. A lot easier to build on the beach or near rivers so while yes, the network would be faster, the building would be A LOT slower.Especially if you're doing what I'm doing and building towers and god forbid if the area is not flat. Building towers can be a nightmare on uneven terrain.

You've got me tricking out my bunker with ziplines and am now seeing if a drying rack will advance time and work inside. It's going to take awhile since I've been trying out long days. Long days' lighting feels so right, evenings taking forever and then just going dark. Realistic is ok but a bit ridiculous. Both aren't balanced right for food and liquid tho so those are essentially cut out of the gameplay, which is a shame that I hope gets tweaked. I wonder if the sunset drops early on the east side of the mountains. Something to watch for. Anyway enjoying your videos tho and am glad to have had KZbin put you at the top of some search several weeks back. You have a fun mellow-annoyed obsessive-gamer but clearly family-prioritized style.

Man I've built a whole house right at that spot at the top of the mountain. The way you bring the logs up is to put 3,4 platforms 1x4, on the way up to. You can put 6 log holders on 1 platform. Make a standing square shape, 2x high , and 4x wide, right in front of the platform. Attach 3 zipline ropes, one of the left, one on mid, and one on the right. Now you can send logs up, they hit the square shape in front of the platform, and perfectly land in the holders. Took around 150 hours to build a base up there. Kevin was depressed, he cut the whole forest under that mountain while I was sending the logs up. Strength gets boosted by this a lot, since you are picking the logs up all the time...

You CAN put platforms on the steep hill, you can have to keep trying to find the perfect spot. Put one pillar vertically, and then attack one log on it, facing the steep slope, keep trying until that log sits horizontally on 90 degrees

The reason putting one thing away brings another thing out is bc it remembers the last item you had out, this way you can have a gun or weapon then switch to something building related and if something comes up on you, you just hit G and it brings your weapon out.

If you put torches on either side of waterfalls it's aesthetic as hell at night. Building a hotsprings base is pretty hard, no I don't think they should make it easier

Me and my mates took about 3-4 days to build a zip line from near luxury bunker to our first base on the side where the spawns are. We called it MRT (name of the train line in our country) 😆 I think it took us 15 “stations” to get from one end to the other

I honestly think that running water like creaks rivers etc. Should be clean but sitting water like ponds should be dirty. It actually seems unrealistic to have water coming from a mountain like that being dirty.

Nah the devs did their homework, I used to think the same thing but apparently even running water usually contains bacteria, parasites, viruses etc. Stagnant water is a better environment for any bad stuff to multiply but the bad stuff can totally still exist in running water

yeah we did the same almost right at the start , zipline towers to all locations , big tower in our base , full stock of stuff, all caves explored, story done , there was no reason to keep playing after that , I was angry that they realeased early access, it was just too quick , now we find our way back after +- 2 months to build rock castle nothing else

Bro they gave us a new gun, playable guitar, radios, 3(?) new traps, mining, artifacts (building up to something), greatly improved structure placement, new cannibal types - interactions - behaviors - balancing, and much much more. I don't see how people can just say "add more actual content" when it's like every 2-3 weeks we get what would be considered a MASSIVE update to any other game

Cool project, seems very useful when playing with such limited resources. I'm sorry to break it to you, but kids need exposure to bacteria and germs in early life, to have a better immunesystem when they're adults. It's probably not the main reason why it's good to send your kid to daycare, but don't see it as a negative, since you allready had the kid..

The SOTFEdit tool will show you influences bars like fear/respect/anger. I just realized the blood on his face is probably an indicator as opposed to something to wash off. It doesn't wash off in the rain like yours does, I don't think, but it isn't always there.

It was a couple 100 hours before I learned about the 3 separate influence levels toward the 3 of you, enemies and Virginia. I figured I'd finally earned my right to "cheat" after playing an embarrassing number of hours. I just still can't believe I can max out a game so pretty with a 2019 gaming PC (admittedly an RTX2080Ti FE). Running around to the abandoned camps and stumbling across cannibal camps while going through the evolving story is my current top gaming experience of its genre.

Honestly... I think were more then a year away from a good or decent game. I think there are some good fundamentals, but at the pace the patches are going and the content they choose to bring... i d k... the building mechanic HAS big potential, but right now its suuuuuuuuuuper restrictive which makes everyone, as farket said, miss forest1 system.... noone knows why they do not let us place quarter logs horizontally and/or place buildings in 45 degrees... it all works in theory with their system and their math and would allow us to be very creative... overhangs, dynamic structures... the shovel is in the game but... is nothing more then a key-item only... why cant we terraform with it, why cant we clear snow with it? Why is there no meaningful loot in the graves around the map? electricity is in the game but... its barely used for anything or is useful at all. electric fences are just being jumped over... the 3D PRINTER is in the game and brings LITERALLY infinite potential but... is used to craft a stupid fun-sled, ammo that you can also craft differently and stupid parts for the GPS system... LOL they code in a pickaxe but dont let it remove the stupid uninteractable giant rocks? or anything at all besides a very specific use... follower AI system is in the game but... theres only two... and they are stupid and buggy... and they can barely interact with your base. and the weirdest part.. again.. is what type of content they prioritize no? why the f did we get a logsled so soon, or a stupid radio-alert trap?! a bouncy-trap? there isnt even a working story yet, but we have a person in endnight actively working on THAT? "what are you doing jimmy! stop coding that awesome hardcore difficult artifact cave 3 beneath that sea which awards an artifact that enables an open ended endgame activity by attracting cannibals or mutants as a horde-base-defense method! we NEED something to play loud music sometimes a cannibal walks into a very speficic, very conditional place!!! AND WE NEED IT NOW! ALL RESSOURCES GO TO THE RADIO TRAP UNTIL ITS IN THE GAME!!!" bad games are just bad games... but games with big potential and weird decisionmaking are ... rage inducing... and lets not forget that these people PRETENDED THEY WERE ALMOST READY TO SHIP THE GAME ONE YEAR EARLIER!!!! HAHAHA... IMAGINE WHAT WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN :D ah fck... but thanks for the video farket! god knows youre pulling all the content possible out of the game we have...

I already have a zipline that cover the whole map on my server but i havent play for month and month since the stone patch because after that it sucked shit i was expecting the gamer to have some kind of real story and not only some upgrade to building ect the whole game is empty as fuck its just a map and build* but this game was never really a build game i mean at this point i rather build in rust its way bether and more fun.
