I understood the tab but did you explain how you increased the size of the zipper or did you buy longer zipper or cut it longer. Thanks for explaining. Happy holidays to you and family:

You would either have to buy a longer zip or adjust the length of the tabs and position them on the end of the zipper in such a way that the finished zip is as long as the pattern needs it to be. In the case of the medium size bag, the finished zip needs to be 17.25". Hope that helps. Happy holidays to you as well!
