Random question for other DM’s out there. When y’all are building for homebrewed towns or towns from a campaign booklet with no NPC information, do you make a few stores in advance or do you just make up stuff as you go? The toughest part of overcoming DM anxiety thus far for me has been not deliberately planning for every circumstance; like making 10 stores, 7 of which the players may never visit and I’m not sure which those will be.

I only run games on the go so I use paper minis. I can hold 1000s of monsters in a binder.
