The comic is fun but not being able to read the full thing without an account is scummy as shit. It’s one thing if the author opts to hide it like on AO3, one thing entirely to not be upfront about your services right away. Why so desperate for me to have an account to bait people huh? What are you trying to sell? Even something as two faced as youtube lets you see virtually any video without an account.

The comic is up on deviantart to view per page but my point still stands. The comments are also mildly infuriating on deviantart. Like I straight up don’t buy that anyone actually tried to reason with her for good, considering we see none of it and just the characters claiming that they *wanted to* The main character (droopy eyed lioness) spent months laying around pride rock simmering miserably before she attempted to murder the kids and nobody gave a rats ass about her in any meaningfull way besides Kiara’s flawed attempts. The amount of collective fuckup needed for somebody to attach completly to the one singular time somebody said something nice and encouraging to them as a kid, is fucking astronomical. Let alone when the spell already broke once and they are slowly and visibly relapsing. There’s no fucking way that if you actually pitied her you didn’t try *anything* for the presumed 4~ year span you would have shared before the girl snapped for good. Literally the only person that really tried to help visibly at all was Kiara, and her ability to help is compromised due to her ranking higher. Belladona’s rage might be terribly misdirected but damn if it isn’t largely justified. The dozens of lions being completly useless at helping her is painfully realistic, but the fact this slides over the smooth brains of all the commenters in sight is deeply frustrating.

I've a different theory, I think as Sarabi is the lead hunteress and as she rejected Scar's proposal and prefers to remain still loyal to her beloved king, no other lioness in Pride Rock is going to accept him. So as for Scar, as a king he must need a heir to the throne, thats when he wanders around Pride Lands to find a mate and maybe finds Zira and her pride which mainly contains. Zira eventually fells in love with him, and so her pride accepts him as their new king. Zira cames to Pride Lands during Scar's reign that's the reason why she isn't in The Lion King. She was happy living in Pride Lands bein Scar's queen but it didn't lasted too long as soon as Simba came back to Pride Lands and so all her dreams shattered into dust. As Simba becomes the new king, he lets Zira stay in Pride Lands, but she just couldn't resist her beloved Scar's death and consumed by hatred she attack's Simba. Simba soon realized that letting her and supporters was not empty of danger and so had no other choice but to sentence her and her supporters for exile.

The story does not seem to have much to do with Zira and is all about some oc. The editing is kind of annoying and makes it hard to read and makes me nauseous to look at, especially the weird weird shuffling one.

@plagueplush6247 only the pages released this month (December 2024) likely because the artist has a Patreon to read the pages early (which is translated into a subscription on DeviantArt). Just wait on it and read it monthly. Artists deserve money for their work, its nice that they are still posting it for free in the first place
