I have watched a bit of Zirkzee and he is a talent with an interesting profile. However, he has not reached the level to bluff a club like United. He got called up to an average Netherlands squad only because someone dropped out because of an injury.

Ugarte is a cheaper alternative to Joao Neves, probably unlikely we'll get the deal over the line but never say never United have surprised us with signings in the past before. We could have signed Ugarte last summer, we were actually linked to him but PSG got the deal over the line quicker than us. Efficient clubs in the transfer market get these deals done and never hesitate. Hopefully with United, that will no longer be the case

Getting in Branthwaite reminds me a bit of Arsenal and Ben White a few summers back. It took some time but the club had identified him as the player they wanted, and were prepared to spend a decent amount on him. Some at United have become a bit obsessed over price due to failures over the last decade. It was as much poor player selection as being taken to the cleaners price-wise.
