@sopvong I have too installed Biotime 8.5 on Google Cloud, thanks to your demonstration. Everything works correctly, all my 10 devices are connected to the server and syncing transactions. However, the employee data and FP data is syncing between devices and server, but the Face data is not syncing. I have tried creating a common area and added all devices to the same area, didn't work, so I created separate areas for each devices and added all employees to all areas and still face data didn't sync. All devices are set to yes for registration but none is syncing face data. Any tips bro? I tried getting in touch with the ZKTeco support but seems like it is non-existant. Any help would be great. Thank you

What do you mean by Face Data? You mean face scan or just picture? And can you verify if other scan method like fingerprint is working? I would see if your device is compatible with BioTime 8.5, Google "biotime 8.5 compatible devices" to find list. I think you did correctly by creating a common area for employees and the device then syncing on server, but I never found this issue before. Yes ZKTeco Support is usually non-existent, but the good thing is their product is much cheaper than other brands like Suprema or Honeywell. I think it a little harder to configure but it is equal effectiveness in the end. ZKTeco depends on local vendors to handle IT issues, so you should contact the local ZKTeco supplier about the problem. There is also freelance IT people selling ZKTeco support online for around $30 through websites like fiverr.com if you need also. Best of luck

@@sopvong Thank you for your response. Yes, I meant Face scan data. Fingerprint data is syncing between devices, but just the face scan data has issues. I have 10 devices, all of them are uFace 800. My supplier mentioned that these are compatible with BioTime 8.5. Local vendors are not responsive and supplier has no technical expertise either. I will try the Fiverr thing however. Thank you.

Thanks for the informative video. How much are your approximate monthly expenses for Google Cloud BioTime VM?
@sopvong Жыл бұрын
Because our company use 1 cloud VM for multiple uses, BioTime is one of the uses. So it is hard to give my expense for only BioTime as the VM is shared. You can see 1:00 where Google estimates for you how much it would cost. You can get VM hosting cheaper from a local cloud provider if price is a concern.

How would we be able to connect biometric device to vm(cloud server) thanks
@sopvong Жыл бұрын
You put the server IP and port inside biometric device under Cloud Settings Example for me, in video time 16:16 my Server IP is 34.126.157.143 And port: 8081

@@sopvong thanks for answering the device would automaticall try to connect with vm(you are saying this would happen) i am running my virtual machine on aws, it did not allow me to add rule to allow http traffic to other ports except 80 would that be okay if i only use port 80 if you don't mind can you provide your email or phone (i can contact you) that would me a lot once again, thanks or answering

@@HarshaVardhan-ll4rp You should be able to allow ports aside from 80. For AWS it's under "Network & Security" -> "inbound rules". For me I had issues with port 80. When I asked around about this problem I was advised to use another port and I never looked back at the problem. Sure you can send me your WhatsApp or Telegram to my email: mouthed.steel.09@icloud.com
