I’m pretty sure the separatists were able to enforce demands on your vassal due to holding their capital for a year

Right! On the other hand, rebels cannot enforce demands while you are at war and I'm pretty sure it happened during it

They might have directly inherited it as well, this can happen rarely when they have the same dynasty and no heir.
@IronWolf12326 күн бұрын
@@ZlewikkTV Or maybe your vassal collapsed and folded to the rebels because they were an OPM and have no chance of winning?
@Old_Sealand27 күн бұрын
Little fun fact, some that might not know. With Knights (and any other OPM really) you can go easily to 0% Crownland, unless not wanting the extra tax penalties (Autonomy does nothing) and with you having capital fort lvl 3, rebels that pop out from estates or Byz rebels (less than 10k), instatly die because of that, so you can put your troops on transports, before the rebels pop, and back to island.
@ZlewikkTV27 күн бұрын
You will barely ever get enough unrest in capital to have rebels thoug, so in case of an island where you have naval dominance it's more worth to just remove the fort and save money
@Old_Sealand27 күн бұрын

i think that its pretty worth as a small country to not give privileges right away. only give out the mana privileges and then regain all the crownland after the first war and then give out privileges. low dev compared to your conquests plus low influence plus low influece makes you gain so much crownland from war. i think really low influence gives a 40%? buff to crownland gain. i feel like you could jump from 5 to 19 or 20 from that byzantium war. maybe thats a bit too tryhard

Not Palestine it is Israel.
@andrewmcallister990827 күн бұрын
The region is literally Palestine, Palestine existed before Israel. Contrary to what rightwing knuckledraggers think, Muslims have lived in Palestine for about a millennium. Israel was created 70 years ago and European colonizers displaced people to create it
@AutisticAndBallistic26 күн бұрын
@@andrewmcallister9908 Jews lived in Jerusalem way before Islam was even conceived and Muslims/Arabs only arrived in the area by killing and subjugating the people who lived in the area. This is true for all land surround the Mediterranean. The expansion of Islam through conquest is what triggered the Crusades. Also lmaoing at politics brainrot.

I quite enjoy Knights, never had difficulties with playing them, of course they are challenging in being stuck between some big expansive nations, but man oh man the raiding and galley combat ability? You can even dominate colonial Spain if you play your cards right.
@INSANESUICIDE27 күн бұрын
A good tip is to vassalize byzant and Epirus so you can nab their navies as well.
@thegodv_27 күн бұрын
vassalizing rebellium is bad now tbh
@ZlewikkTV27 күн бұрын
you don't really need their navies with your galley bonuses
@INSANESUICIDE27 күн бұрын
@@ZlewikkTV you don't need them, but having them allows you to confidently punch way above your weight, as well as barraging forts to lock the Ottomans on the straits, and you have 2 extra manpower pools that you can just annex later anyways. For Knights I enjoy keeping a powerful vassal or two early game, for other nations I'd rather annex, it's all about mood and which nation I play tbh. For mortals like me vassals are great, I am no zlewik skillwise I must admit.
@ZlewikkTV27 күн бұрын
@@INSANESUICIDE your allies/subjects fleet do not count for breaching walls sadly, I prefer to have constantinople for myself, easy 30 dev, which is great for age objective and quick golden era. Also you can get rid of Genoese malus in Constantinople and spawn faceting yourself. It's good to have Byz lands for yourself and have Bulgaria for reconquest cb. Obviously everyone can play however they want to, I just find this more useful as The Knights :)
@andrewmcallister990827 күн бұрын
I typically like byz vassal for reconquest, but small nations benefit more by having direct cores
