My experience has been when crappie are active almost any lure works. I have been on an active school and purposefully switched baits with different profiles and colors and continued to catch fish. I like the ZMan baits especially the durability. I look forward to your videos and commentary. Thank you.

I agree! I lean towards elastomer baits for the efficiency of catching fish after fish without having to do anything, then when the hook gets dull swap it out and keep catching

I agree with both of U. If these ugly things weren't made of this stretchidy business, I would have NEVER even considered them! But I fished this thing 3 hours with no crazy-glue and it was still right there! Now compare this with Keitech! I love keitech, but for that amount of time I would have used $5 worth of keitechs minimum, considering how many small bluegill were around.

@@ifishcatfish would love it if nikko or zman would make a 2-2.5” swing impact look alike that would be incredible. I love small keitechs and osp shadtails but if they will eat an elastomer bait I’ll just switch over for efficiency. Gets to be a pain in the butt plowing through plastics catching panfish

Great fishing victor….I caught crappie this year on the big standard tickler while bass fishing…will try the baby version for sure.

must have been a good crappie.. I think the baby version is big enough for 3-4 lb bass..

You should check out mule fishing they have a bait called the horse fly 1.5 that you might like and jig head that are pretty good

Ive seen them. They work but they are nothing special. The hook is a turnoff for me, I am not going back to that type of hook. I have 300 packs of japanese hooks and it will take a while before i go back to chinese hooks. Lure profile is small and i know it works but there is 1 million lures on the market and i don't buy unless there is something special about them.

That's not really a hole, that's the nickajack dam on TN river : ) . Gets more traffic than the public toilet on the parking lot. Its perfect for making videos : ). The lakes around my house... there i have a few spots where i don't want to make a video.. : )

Gosen Lumina Shine is japanese line, i belive, not aliexpress at all

Gosen Lumina Shine, green. Color not easy on the eyes, but very good line, just as good as varivas

What jig heads did you use

i use some chinese jig head that i actually reviewed on the channel and also some daiwa tungsten jig head that i also reviewed on the channel. Because this lure is big enough, u can use pretty much any jig head with hook size 8 or even 6.

I love the action of this rod! Its very slow - how did u make a fast action out of that? It has better tip feel than the Soare XR. But its relatively heavy and numb... This rod was a giveaway, and two people won the rod, but nobody wanted it, and I got angry and said I will fish it then : )
