Btw, coming from someone who owns a small server. We have a bit of a rule that's kinda still as a rule for the sake of lore. but way back when we were on some relatively small server package, a madlad wanted to do a bit of a prank and put golems on the main end island, so they would infinitely attack endermen, and endermen would teleport. What ended up happening with just a handful of snow golems was that any time someone entered the end dimension the whole server crashed. and essentially they were soft banned cause any time they rejoined the whole server crashed again. Wondering if there's some very laggy mechanic with endermen that could be used to exploit a lag machine.

Thats genius. When snowmen try to hit endermen, the endermen teleport and when there is a lot of both there are a shit ton of moving endermen and twenty billion snowballs and half so much snowgolems which means the server has to handle that shit and crashes, Inthink

@@russianyoutube yeah. Also for context. Same amount of golems since the beginning. The guy thought it'd be fun to see that on the way to enderman farm. And i was unaware of it. The server overall became much laggier progressively for like a week or two and i was occasionally trying to figure out what changed lol. Until that happened and basically crashed to the point of getting rolled back a minute with each crash. And ppl were annoyed. If i remember correctly at the time the owner was running on spigot. Maybe rollbacks were some safety thing there idk. So when we were going to investigate the end due to the snowmen being suggested as a cause. We were just at a crash loop. Every time an admin joined server crashed. Fun times. Only way to clear was kill snowmen and enderman entities in console and hope that was the cause

Could make a rigged enderman spawner somewhere in end and make them land on like 4 platforms surrounded by snowmen on all sides, maybe. That could be quite chaotic i imagine.

The video I remember of the snow golem thing they used chunk loading to get the snowball numbers up. The problem with your machine is snowballs start despawning. If you have the snowballs flow to an unloaded chunk and let them build up for hours and then go into that chunk they all are there and crash the server. I’m fairly certain that’s how I have seen the snow golem thing done.

Whenever you want to lag a server with entities, try using a mod so that your client does not process or render the entities. That way, you won't have lag, and your client won't time out of the server but the server will still start lagging. Thats what other youtubers do with the lag machines. Also you can look for a mod that shows the server's TPS. (If you don't want to use a hacked client, those usually have those two things already)

If you want to make this machine more efficient you can place ladders/vines in the snow golem chamber since when a mob is on a ladder it can't be entity crammed.

A little tip that would make the lag machine better is that you can place a vine or ladder into the chambers that the snow golems are in to bypass the entity cramming limit

For this to work properly, you need 2 things: 1. A texture pack that removes the snowballs & particles so you don't lose fps when in proximity to the machine. 2. You need to send the snowballs into unloaded chunks so they don't despawn & so you can build up a huge amount, then load the chunks to crash the server.

Hacked clients can have useful features for doing this, such as disabling the rendering of snowballs. If you do that, you won't be lagging but the snowballs will still be thrown. Some clients also show the server TPS.

The server works by having multiple "worlds" that are separately loaded on different server so its not possible to lag everyone on the server. You would just lag out the node.

protip if you ever try this again: climbable blocks like ladder, vine, warped/crimson vine ect., they completely disable cramming while touching them. so you can just put down a single vine or ladder in the hole and now you can put infinite snow golems without them dying, allowing for infinite snowballs per minute
