Never listened to Kendrick’s music, but after the battle I did. And now all I can say is, what was Drake thinking? I, Rich Spirit, Love… This man is a true lyricist. Drake and his camp were insane to try him. There’s a reason why Kendrick has 17 Grammys vs Drake’s 5when he rarely drops, why his musical catalog is studied at an Ivy League school and he’s the only rapper to win the Pulitzer Prize. One of his songs has been eligible for diamond certification for the last 7 yrs but he hasn’t updated it because he doesn’t care.

@shinicejones18173 ай бұрын
Agreed some type of conversation and negative behavior was had behind the scenes and we will never know what exactly happened. Kendrick is not the first artist to stop supporting or messing with Drake at all and they probably all have different experiences working with him and may never say a thing. Even SZA switched up and showed up for Kendrick, even Billie Ellish posted a story dancing to not like us, and many more. It makes you call into question who he is behind closed doors because they couldn’t have all been the problem when working with him (not a coincidence at all) Not to mention so many video clips are surfacing where he references young girls being his valentine and everything (Sophia grace and her friend from the Ellen show where preteens when he said they were his valentines🤔) He has no long standing relationships with women especially not in their 30s (around his age) yet brings up other people’s families which seems like a projection of what he is missing at almost 40.

@sw8283 ай бұрын
@@shinicejones1817 Yep. Drake had to know he would say no to 1st Person Shooter. I think that's why Kdot said he did Cole foul. It feels like Drake thought putting Cole on the record would make Kdot come to the table. He really does want acceptance from everybody he respects and Kendrick just won't give it to him. He's like the boy in highschool who comes to the 10 year reunion with expensive drip & driving an expensive car trying to show off his success, thinking the "cool kids" will finally welcome him. But they still see him as the weird kid who used to pick his nose or something. I think he's at the point now where he is trying to figure out what his legacy will be and because he is a rapper, he knows that will ultimately be decided by the rap community, not the pop fans he sells millions of albums to. Nobody cares how many records Tupac sold. In the end it's the music and what the rap community thinks about it that keeps him in the best rapper conversations. When the next generations come through and styles change and Drake's music is no longer connected to some moment in time in their lives, what will they think about it? Nobody in the future is gonna care about him being the best selling. They will give him a listen and decide from there. MC Hammer & Will Smith sold millions of records too but are never in any discussions about the goats of rap. They had some bops but you kinda had to be there to get it. Just sayin...

Totally agree because Kendrick kept saying it. He was like I’ll give yal a hint on Euphoria and give this nigga a chance to save face. Now everyone is saying it and will keep saying it. He can’t run from it anymore. Kendrick had to see something with his own eyes. Cause he’s standing ten toes down with it.

Yes a jealous ex who hasn’t had a long standing relationship and brings up other families as a projection of the one he’s missing. And its crazy because Drake isn’t necessarily the only reason Kendrick stayed relevant. And isn’t that the point of the rap industry to support each other, like he owes him nothing if it was a mutual friendship/partnership. Even Dre, Schoolboy and more are still close with Kendrick and they helped him out too they aren’t hating on him for his success. Honestly Drake has been a trouble making hypocrite since the beginning. He even pulled J Cole in it knowing damn way Cole was oblivious to it all (which is exactly why he backed out once he realized he wasn’t the target in Euphoria). He literally needed a 2nd party to handle it with him smh(almost made Cole collateral damage because of some silly crap). Kendrick in interviews is even humble towards speaking about Drake beef and the media fueled it which we all know Drake loves social media and drama, as well as putting people families in the beef when he doesn’t have one and is almost 40 yrs old (like focus on your kid and finding a wife that isn’t an adult p star😭) Kendrick would be beef free if it wasn’t for him and it is absurd and all unnecessary to begin with.
