Zmudowski State Beach Surf Fishing - Caught a 10 in Barred Surf Perch!

Went fishing to Zmudowski State Beach close to Moss Landing, California on Saturday October 5th, 2019. I was able to catch a nice 10 inch Barred surf perch after an hour or two of casting in the surf. I was using a fish finder rig, also known as a Carolina rig and a slider sinker rig. I had a sliding sinker with 2-3oz lead weight and a 2-3 foot mono leader with a size 2 bait-holder hook. I was using synthetic bait, which where Gulp saltwater worms from Berkeley.
The conditions were good and I was planning to use soft shell sand crabs as bait but there weren’t too many at low tide. I have my black net to catch the soft shell sand crabs. Thank you all for watching

Yeah thanks for asking. You need to head to Moss Landing and get Cabrillo Highway 1 until you get out on Struve Rd. Then you get Giberson Rd and follow it all the way down.
