I'm blown away by how good a sound you can record in a little boat on the water, with wind and all surrounding noises... Apart from that, there is another version of this song with Mrs. Conway singing and John Mc Intyre, on their CD, where Julie Fowlis is joining the singing (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWOTiK2Xn82haqc). The violin on the album is so gripping that I get goosebumps every time I listen to the set-in of the violin at the end of the song. This version has at least two violin tracks superimposed, but is not as gripping. And performed a tad faster, I think.
