At first some of the chord changes were weird to me or somewhat "out of nowhere" but now I see you're doing this "jazz chord" like movements and if it was played in jazz style it would be more obvious. Good on ya for incorporating that feel in a very different genre. I truly wish you guys could be on Audio tree sometime and perform live.
