Here is my theory... This entire case revolves around Darlene Ferrin. Zodiac and Darlene having a secret relationship. The reason it was kept secret was because of Darlenes age 17 years old. Zodiac killer being in his mid to late 50's. Zodiac being a Merchant Marine Captain and prominent figure in society. Zodiac gets Darlene pregnant right off the bat in their relationship. Zodiacs Mother when he was 5 years old accidently kills her self by coat hanger abortion. She dies right in front of him. She bled out. Since the year would of been in 1911 you know this had to of happened at their home. Something like this would completely devastate a 5 year old child for life~! However life goes on... When Darlene started to show he brought her to the Virgin Islands where she remained until the birth of their child. In Daarlenes 9th month she knew she had to get some sort of help from someone to help deliver her baby. She calls a friend of hers, Donna Lass. Donna being a practicing nurse/MID WIFE and going to school turns Darlene down but offers to call a friend of hers to see if she would deliver her baby. That person being Cheri Jo Bates. Paul Stine takes the 2 to the airport to go to the Virgin Islands to help Darlene. Zodiac did not like being seen by these 2 women with Darlene. Things like a 17 year old and a man in his mid to late 50's just didn't happen back then. Swept under the rug so to speak- They both knew that the baby girl could not remain with them so the Zodiac has a master plan after speaking to his younger Brother. His Brother being an OSS man and prior to that worked in a mental health hospital where he was allowed to give the patients elec shock therapy w/out being a doctor. Zodiac being a part time CIA programmed assassin knew about MK Ultra. The younger Brother just had a baby w/his new wife 13 months prior. They decide to slip her LSD & Hypnotize her & elec shock therapy showing her a film of a woman having a breach born baby over and over and over again until she thought she was a actually having that baby. This is when their baby was placed with the Wife of the Brother. Even though that sounds a bit far fetched, it really did happen- No one can make something like that up period- ""Documented" new CIA files from Project Artichoke 1965. Darlene was untrusting of the Zodiac and decides to follow him one night in 1966. He was unaware of this. Zodiac stops off at a college where he knows Cheri Jo Bates was a nursing student. This is when she was murdered and Darlene sees it and scares the crap out of her! She quietly leaves the murder scene and goes back home. After seeing what he did this totally turns Darlene completely off towards her lover. She packs her things and leaves. He's confused as to what happened and why she left. For months he can not locate Darlene. He had to work and being a Merchant Marine they go out to sea and are gone for months , years at a time. A year or so later he comes back in to Port and the only thing on his mind was to find Darlene~! He's close to finding her. Stops some where and sees someone that he thinks is Darlene and he kills the woman and her date, Betty Lu Jensen & David Farraday by mistaken identity. Life goes on... He finally finds Darlene and she is now married and had another child. He calls her over and over again and she won't take any of his calls. So he stalks her. 4th of July 1969 Mare Island Zodiac sees Darlene giving out buttons w/her Sister Christine and being the flirtatious person that she is, Zodiac just isn't liking this at all. Darlene is having a painting party at her house this night and leaves Mare island to go home. Zodiac follows her. Calls her from a phone booth she once again will not take his calls. He decides to just go over to her house. Darlene and him get in to a heated discussion Darlene decides to leave alone. She picks up Mike Mageau and they go to get high at the park and talk. Zodiac approaches and kills Darlene & seriously injures Mageau. Leaves the crime scene quietly- He's now out of his mind with rage and anger knowing he still had to illiminate a couple of other people. Those being Paul Stine and Donna Lass. Loose ends had to be cut-- As for the lake berryessa murder, a copy cat. Or a way to make the cops think he was a serial random killer. Zodiac also has a brain tumor sitting on his Amygdala part of his brain which controls your rage and anger. Non operateable due to it's location. That's my theory. Have a nice day :)

I must admit, i am not familiar with Mark Ruffalo, and wouldn't watch zodiac (too scary!), but I've just watched 'Now You See Me', and even in that, he reminded me of Colombo! There's just something about him, particularly towards the end of the movie when he was disheveled...haha. I have been a Colombo fan all my life, but it would be wonderful to see this guy play him in a movie or series.

Strange. I didn't find it sad at all. I did however, find the film very compelling. I was driven to research into the real story more. But you know how the movie ends, so why was it so upsetting? Or did you not know about the Zodiac Killer before hand?

Really? You didn't like watching 'In the Cut'? I thought it was awesome myself, just a shame you don't get to see Mark naked more in the film! I must admit though, it was a bit like 'Whoa, that's pretty hardcore!', and even though I think he's really fit and I enjoyed seeing him in the buff, the fact remains that he's probably old enough to be my dad (kind of)!
