Not really. Navigating by stars isn't astrology, it's navigating. Also the Bible never gives a number of how many there were. The Magi were astrologers though, it's just not true if someone follows a star, then that's astrology.

If I looke up the four people who declare the zodiac to only have a symbolic interpretation, Gooenough, Magness, Avigad and Weiss, will I find any that are either ardent christians or jews? Bet I will. I personally ddon't trust anyone from the Abrahamic religions to evaluate artifacts regarding their own religious strain. Especially problematic ones like a zodiac in a religion who is supposedly monolithic and impervious to outside syncretic influence. Which of course they were, apologists and biblical literature protests not withstanding.

Isaiah 9.14-15, describes Israel (summer) as Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. The royal/noble one is the head (Lion) and the liar (Scorpio) is the tail .
