This is ridiculously impressive. I started cello over the summer and I'm starting up with a new instructor at my university next week. It takes a special "touch" and a certain command of the instrument to make it sing like this. That becomes immediately apparent when you listen to someone who is very skilled play. Even my summer instructor, who is by no means well-known, can produce sound unlike anything I'm capable of. One of those things to be awed by in life, I suppose.
