As a teen when I read the book and watched the move it was so scary. When I reread and watched the remake as an adult I see only the grief and it made me sad more than anything I cried at the remake.

Im 100% with you on the whole point about this being so much build up, to a great ending, but it was way too short of a pay off for me. I enjoyed it, and also gave it 3 stars. Just way too much hype around this book I think. A cool idea, just could have been done as a novella easily.

pet sematery was my 1st stephen king book i read and i loved every second i found the slow pacing to be super engaging because it set up that crazy shit was coming and gave you time to get to know and care about the family

Haha thank you! I put a little bit of everything! This one had banana, frozen fruit, almond milk, dried fruit & nut trail mix, pumpkin seeds, and peanut butter. The frozen cherries and blueberries help make it pink! 💕

I think your reaction the night you finished is your true reaction. In the light of the next day after sleeping you seemed to have forgotten that you were coming undone and totally scared when you read it. I don’t know any authors that can sustain scary stories through every page. You are right Stephen King does a slow burn a bit more than most though

I loved that book!! I read it a long time ago. Have you seen the original movie? It's really good, and it follows the book pretty well. I haven't seen the new one, but from watching the ads for it, it dosen't look that good, they changed too many of the characters. I find that usually the books are better than the movies, and the first movies are always better than the remakes! Just my opinion. 😄 Love the cats!!! 🐱🐱🐱

Watch the original pet cemetery movie! I haven’t seen the nee one. But from commercials, it looks way different than the book. The original movie scared me to pieces the first time I saw it in high school! If you don’t mind watching slightly older movies, I’d say give that one a shot.:) great idea for a video, by the way!!

Steven King is not great at ending his books and is always wordy. I thought Pet Semetary was one of his better books. Last year I read the Stand. Yeesh, what a frustratingly good read, but again, that ending. Uuuuugh. I'm currently reading Needful Things....800 pages and right in the middle. Reserving judgement, but am enjoying this too!

Read Salem’s Lot when I was young. My Dad was in the hospital and my Mom would be visiting him, and I would read it and be home alone. It was so scary and realistic. Remember the fear which I still love to this day. Still one of my favorite King novels.

Also I can’t stand the pet semetary remake , they changed to much and I can never understand the actor that plays Louis he kinda of murmurs and talks fast , with an accent included and it makes it hard to understand .
